So can it be safely assumed that it's SOP at all passenger terminals?
-
They probably need to recoup some of the cost from having to offer low landing fees.

Isn't it a bit distracting for something as serious as a safety briefing. If it's a briefing interspersed with jokes a la Southwest then it's not that bad. But dancing?

Southwest Airlines buying AirTran

Ah, but what they lack in size, they make up in service quality. -

Pulling a play out of the Richard Branson playbook! No way BA/AA...should have put No Way MH! On another note, personally I think the most important thing they should think about is to improve their customer service. Just because they're a LCC doesn't mean they shouldn't set a high standard. Just because passenger expectations are low doesn't mean they can be complacent. It doesn't have to be SQ-level, but at least a higher standard than what they have now! -
Selfish idiots. If they want to work they should have gone through proper channels rather than taking the easy way out! A few rotten apples spoils it for everyone!

MAS Briefing at 16th World Route Development Forum

If the twinjet's certified for ETOPS, then it wouldn't be a problem. The only twinjet currently capable of flying to EZE from CPT is the 77W. -
Why is that? The visa restriction's understandable for travel to America, but Japan? We contributed a lot to their economy, not the very least helping them get rid of their old cars!

The only twinjet capable of flying that route based on ETOPS 330 rule is the 77W if I'm not mistaken. -

Could the A333 be equipped with lower deck crew rest area? Or would that eat up the cargo space too much to be viable? -

I guess that's why they converted their options for the A330F. Another delay = free/heavily discounted planes? -

Well considering the closest slot for A350/787 deliveries are in 2019, I guess they will only be fully replaced by 2021 at the soonest. And note the delivery date of the A380. April 2012, exactly a year after the delivery of the first A330! -
If anyone ever noticed, the Airbus logo is actually used by several companies here in Malaysia. Here's one of them Satinni

Sometimes you have to wonder why when they ordered the A330s didn't they think about ordering A340s for long range flights? At least if they got A340s it'll give them more options on new routes to build up, especially to Europe. -
Mergers would only work either if you merge with another airline in your own country or if the market's unified like the EU. Won't work here in Asia. Can you imagine MH & SQ together again? Or TG & SQ/MH & GA? Impossible!

There's always a reason why MH can't do more than double daily to SYD. You can't just have flights flying in without making money just for the prestige. They done that before and look where they at now. -
MAS New Boeing 737-800s with Sky Interior
Mohd Suhaimi Fariz replied to Ja Singh's topic in General Aviation
Once MH gets their ordered 738s, what will they do with their leased planes? Return them? -
Indonesia do have great ties with Holland as a former Dutch colony, just like us with the Brits. So it's understandable why they have the hots for SkyTeam. By that definition MH should really push for Oneworld membership!

What? You better have some hard evidence before making such wild accusations!

Besides MH and Delta, if I'm not mistaken, who else are members of the Six Continents Club?

Computers are fallible. There's no way I'll fly on a remotely controlled plane, even if there's a back-up captain on board. Could a computer save this aircraft in this situation? http://jalopnik.com/5629528/how-i-saved-a-747-from-crashing -
Thanks for that info, but I was thinking from a cadet pilot standpoint, especially for MH. I seriously can't afford to gain the licence using my own money. If that's a problem, then well, all I can do is to imagine being a pilot on Flight Simulator X
