  1. Rumours have it their pilots are on strike: https://m.facebook.com/OfficialRayaniAir https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/3916700 *fixed the URLs
  2. Some stalls' nasi lemak have their anchovies in the sambal. Maybe he was used to that? Also I never tried their nasi lemak but how do they prepare the anchovies?
  3. So essentially they will become similar to UK CAA, where the operation expenditures must entirely come from the charges they levy. Does not seem to be typical though. Imagine if FAA were to become private...
  4. The photo links seem not working; apparently AV Herald has disabled hotlinking to their photos. Link to the incident at AV Herald: http://avherald.com/h?article=49666e3e&opt=0
  5. BBC reports an EgyptAir domestic flight from Alexandria to Cairo was hijacked and directed to land at Larnaca. http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-35915139
  6. Thanks for the pictures, really wished it would be a proper Y+ offering instead. Quick question: if you were given a choice between a windowless Y+ seat and a windowed standard Y seat, both at the same price, which would you choose?
  7. The placards mention shoulder belt... is the shoulder belt separate from the seat belt ie you can detach it during cruise?
  8. IIRC it wasn't even sold - it was given to AI a while back as a form of repayment or such.
  9. Looks like their 747SP's day is numbered; apparently EP-IAC is the only one still in scheduled passenger service.
  10. The same way we subsidise Proton for better specs overseas and substandard spec for everyone here? All while they pay less than we do?
  11. Don't forget we are supposed to have yet another one: FlyMojo. Would be curious to know what sort of niche they are planning to be in...
  12. Thanks for the TR, rather interesting to see they offer better refreshments than any other airlines. BTW what sort of snacks did they offer for sale?
  13. IIRC cabin crew members, even when not overnighting, tend to carry these in-cabin bags around. The bags normally contain a spare set of uniform (presumably in case of accidental splash of coffee, or unexpected overnight at outstation, or in case their checked luggage fail to show up at outstation) as well as SOP manuals. Feel free to make corrections. That, or maybe they do overnighting at outstation, maybe at those shabby-looking budget hotels around Jalan Kebun Sultan or Sri Cemerlang in KB, for instance
  14. BTW that seat image as found on their site is actually LH's premium Y: http://www.ausbt.com.au/lufthansa-reveals-new-premium-economy-seat
  15. Did some dummy bookings for KUL-KBR vv earlier this morning, and either the demand was so great or there were some technical glitches, but there was not a single seat available for KUL-KBR sector. Return sector's full-fare Y class and promo J class differs by only RM49; promo Y class seats apparently have sold out or glitched out. And I would be pretty pissed off, to say it mildly, if my seat turns out to be nowhere like this as shown on their site:
  16. Highly doubt these are worth anything other than scrap metal value these days , especially considering these are less efficient planes that have been idle for a while.
  17. ERL has announced that one-way fare between KLIA/klia2 and KL Sentral will be increased by RM20, to RM55. Other destinations along KLIA transit services apparently also see fare hikes (KLIA/klia2 to BTS will be RM38.40) Apparently, based on their contract, they could have revised the fare to RM64. Tickets bought via website, app and kiosk will see a discount of 10% i.e. RM49.50 for final fare. http://www.thestar.com.my/news/nation/2015/12/01/erl-passengers-to-pay-more/
  18. A bit of correction: -EI left OW in March 2007 -Mueller joined EI on 1 October 2009: http://www.rte.ie/news/business/2014/0718/631536-christoph-mueller-aer-lingus/ -More interestingly, it was during Mueller's tenure, EI looked at possibility of rejoining an alliance: http://atwonline.com/news/aer-lingus-looking-join-alliance
  19. Apparently whatever was on earlier have been taken down for some reasons; all I first got was a page about their earlier soft-launch in Langkawi, then some template pages.
  20. It was pretty newsworthy when one airline asked people to not "do it" in their suites...
  21. Any idea which company's seats are these? Looks somewhat identical to LX's one.
  22. Is the fuselage silver or grey or white? Either way it is worse than the existing livery; all they need is to have some touch-up and they are good - else just leave it alone!
  23. Anyone ever used Airasia ezpay before? Seems like it is the only way to avoid being charged extra for booking. And I was under the impression that if you use Citibank's Airasia cobrand CC you won't get charged. Is it still (or was it ever) the case?
