Now this is a rather surprising move, and a rather huge blow for OW's South America presence, should the deal gets pushed through: https://www.cnbc.com/2019/09/26/delta-is-buying-20percent-of-latam-latin-americas-largest-airline.html

Chinese Airlines Are Flooding the World With Super-Cheap Airfares
Y. J. Foo replied to S V Choong's topic in General Aviation
One thing to note though - check if you need to apply for transit visa if you intend to transit via Chinese airports. Some countries' passport holders can enjoy 72-hour visa-free transit; unfortunately we are not one of them... https://www.travelchinaguide.com/embassy/visa/transit.htm https://www.visaforchina.org/SGP_EN/generalinformation/faq/261307.shtml -

MAS New 15 A330-300X + 4 A330-200 Freighter
Y. J. Foo replied to Mohd Azizul Ramli's topic in General Aviation
Probably Airbus wouldn't take them. That would not look good on the long-term viability of the A380. -
IAG's LCC Vueling has its primary hub at BCN. Perhaps that is the reason D7 is flying there - to feed the LCC traffic to/from Europe?

It sounds as if he was trying to sell the seats whether they would make money or not, at least that is how I interpret it. If he doesn't address on the high CASM in relation to low RASM it's a never-ending story of MH in the red.

Cabin Crew on Helping Customer with Cabin Luggage: Yay or Nay?
Y. J. Foo replied to Mike P's topic in General Aviation
Can FAs help to load the bags to overhead bins? Yes they can, but they are not obliged to. easyJet has a simple policy pertaining hand luggage: so long as it fits the dimensions, and you can put it in and take it out without assistance, there are no restrictions on how heavy they can be. -
Air Seoul, newest Korean LCC to start operation today
Y. J. Foo replied to JuliusWong's topic in General Aviation
Try repeatedly and rapidly pronounce the name "Air Seoul" and you might see why the name might need to be changed... -
Quite a few people would assume flying with AK is the cheapest without checking out the rest or looking at what they would have to pay for extra. In related news they can probably claim they no longer charge KLIA2 fee, which is not entirely false since it is now called "LCCT fees" or the sort...

Probably to remove any doubt that SZB could ever be used as major gateway again? From the article it was also around that time all MH 737 SZB and all AK ops were reverted back to KUL. Funny to think what might have happened if AK insisted that they would stay in SZB, possibly occupying T1.

New EU blacklisted countries/airlines now published
Y. J. Foo replied to Pieter C.'s topic in General Aviation
If the airline's flights have to pass thru EU airspace they still have to subject to EU aviation laws. The only way to get around that would be to do detour. -
Given the way they have managed our trusts and expectations thus far, if I were you I would probably not be leaving until I have the refund in my hands, in cash.

Any link to his FB page? Pretty sure there are consumers who really, really would prefer fully Sharia-compliant providers than those of conventional providers. Unfortunately Rayani has just demonstrated to the world how not to run an airline, Sharia or not.

They still have no intention to relocate from T4 to T3 at Heathrow?
-
Not too long ago there was another one named "Bayu Air" or some sort, that would be taking over some of the ex-MH 777s. If, and a big IF it gets the AOC and somehow manages to get exclusive deals with Tabung Haji as the sole operator to operate Hajj and Umrah flights, it might work.

The site seems normal, but no indication or whatsoever on their issues. The link to their FB has been rectified.
