  1. Two Non-flyable spares. One was without any engines some days ago.
  2. https://www.businesstraveller.com/business-travel/2017/03/26/malaysia-airlines-plans-a350-arrivals/ So, what is that new destination? Dont think it will be beyond the 8-9hr range if all 6 frames are to also do a double daily LHR, daily NRT and daily AKL. Also, not much has been said about the 339neos that have also been leased. When do these arrive? Have they got the legs to do AMS?
  3. You really need to read the article to understand the figures. Nothing new really that hasnt been mentioned before.
  4. With ancient aerotrains constantly breaking down and dodgy toilet fittings, KUL deserves where it is.
  5. I'm sold. But still hard to figure out how big is the space. For instance, SQ tends to use very skinny and petite people in the adverts on its premium seats, giving impression of more space than there is in reality.
  6. And get a new aerotrain for klia1. Forever having technical issues. I dont know whether MAHB management is just dumb and blind given the reliability issues of the old aerotrain that has been a constant feature.
  7. MH1 will already be on A350s if the launch flight on A350 to LHR is MH4.
  8. Nobody buys airasia stock for yields. If you want yields, look elsewhere ...
  9. Minimum stay requirements? Advance purchase how many days? Travel period?
  10. That looks like a trip with a tech stop somewhere.
  11. Ipoh - yes, for a short while I believe. As for Mukah, there are remnants of a few A320 carcasses located at the extreme end of the very short runway...the only proof of this service before AK ceased operating it due to ever increasing insurance premia.
  12. KL - Mukah?!!! I guess it was suspended before it even started as AK didnt want the A320s to overrun the runway edge...
  13. Your situation is not uncommon. I have faced it a number of times. Usually happened when something is broken with the booking engine. From my experience, MH is aware of the incomplete booking and the ticket issuance will be done manually usually the next working day.
  14. You can go to most CX lounges with Enrich Gold, as long as it is open to OW Sapphire. And also that very nice QF lounge....I find the QF lounge just a teeny bit better in ambiance than the CX lounges and the staff try to deliver a more personalised service.
  15. First officially revealed here ... http://www.malaysianwings.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=20717&page=2 it was delayed, probably due to the departure of that Chief Commercial Officer. Now it is said that it seems that the project will finally take off in May this year, starting with the Satellite lounge and then the domestic lounge. The latter will close throughout Ramadhan.
  16. Like I said, those who have never travelled with infants will never understand her predicament. And btw, there is only one lounge accessible by those travelling on domestic flights. And it is quite basic. And 6 hours downtime with an infant - no lounge access will conpensate that. And no, you misread. The cancelled flight wasnt hers but an earlier one.
  17. Those who do not have young kids or have never travelled with infants will never understand that hanging around the lounge for 6hrs due to being bumped off a confirmed flight is not a great alternative. No matter how luxurious the lounge is. It is also not a question about any of them having Enrich membership or status or whether the ticket is revenue vs redemption - MH should have spotted the infant in the pax list and protected their seats until closure of checkin. This is where MH failed, in my opinion. And for the umpteeth time, online check in is not an option when travelling with infants.
  18. Like I said, with an infant - I dont think online check-in is even an option for the family.
  19. MH should have protected seats for them given that they were travelling with young children. I think this is where the failure lies - there should be a procedure to scruitinise ( by a human being!) the manifest for such categories of pax before releasing their seats to other pax well ahead of check-in closing time - bearing in mind too that such passengers couldnt check-in online. It wouldnt be difficult to spot an infant in the list. If you can, try the Qantas or any of the CX lounges.
  20. I don't know why people are day dreaming with tunnels and trains - when it is clear as day that MAHB is only planning an airside transfer using a bus service. It will be a long ride but just like from T5 to T4 at LHR. Or a bus transfer from the new T4 to the other three terminals at SIN.
  21. Essentially, shareholders of Airasia X not affiliated with Tony and Kamarudin may have ended up picking up the cost associated with the corporate jet that was on the balance sheet of another company in which they were not shareholders - but those two were. And I think it was somebody higher than Azran ...
  22. "Employee" was probably a euphemism for director and/or shareholder...
