  1. Royal Brunei is basically screwed up as they do not have any extra aircraft to spare. After returning two B777-200ER to SQ, RB remaining B777 are running tight schedule two each for LHR-DXB-BWN and BWN-MEL flights. Not forgetting the five Airbuses are also working their butt out for the non-stop regional flights. One mistake or fault will result in disastrous effect, like now. RB Facebook fanpage is flamed by netizens, however I am sure RB staff is currently working hard to bring the schedule up online again. They should have just bought the ex-SQ B777-200ER 9V-SQG when ILFC sent it for scrapping.....
  2. Hope they can get the multi-modal transportation hub sorted out. The current bus and taxi stands are a joke!
  3. I met with Dato' Ahmad Bahsir, the CEO of MAHB at KLIA. He was behind me in line for passport check. I wasn't sure to 'hit him with a textbook' or praise him for bringing KLIA2 to life, alternatively, bringing Malaysia to world map.......
  4. Seems like with MH leaving Dubai market, KUL-DXB market will be dominated by EK. Does EK partners with MH? I believe both are sworn enemies after QF jumped onto the bed with EK, thus killing of the premium airline planned by MH-QF.

  7. I know we are going a bit off topic, but according to the new releases, AR is planning to offload two A340-300 (LV-BIT and LV-BMT) and all four A340-211. They will use remaining A340-300 and A330-200 solely on the EZE-AKL and EZE-SYD route.
  8. The author of the article failed to note that the Kingdom Holdings A321 M-WBTA has already been scrapped. http://www.airport-data.com/aircraft/photo/000702043.html
  9. Aerolineas Argentinas is currently negotiating with ILFC in taking four ex-MH A330-223. Something is wrong here, MH has only three A330-223 currently. http://www.aerolatinnews.com/index.php?sector=noticias&noticia=36157
  10. The 30 B77Ws are heavily rumoured to be 20 for China Eastern Airlines and 10 for China Southern Airlines, pending China's central administration approval. As for the 15 B737, it could be any airline.
  11. oneworld will gain Malaysia Airlines, but set to lose airberlin soon.
  12. More job opportunities for local Malaysians.....that's fantastic!! Read today's newspaper, both FY and MW may lease more aircraft over the next two years to meet growing demand while waiting for their own ATR72 to arrive. AirAsia is now fighting back with another 100s A320. The future will be interesting..................
  13. A huge win for Airbus! John Leahy is cracking Boeing's market share in narrowbody market. Airbus won Pegasus' order might be due to empty slots between 2015-2017 after Virgin America postponed their order. Should Virgin America dropped their order earlier, most probably Silk Air will stick to A320neo family. Next show will be Turkish Airlines: 50%:50% split most likely.
  14. True enough, AirAsia Group booked another 100 A320neo, making a total of 300 A320neo on order.
  15. AirAsia just announced another order for A320NEO, bringing the total number of aircraft on order to 475.....300 A320NEOs and 175 A320 CEO (currently still being delivered).
  16. It was AirAsia NTU, therefore Iraqi Airways leased it directly from Airbus.
  17. MSN 1339 Airbus A330-202 AirAsia X Test Reg: F-WWCC First Flight: 30-08-2012 Reg: 9M-XXJ Delivered: Iraqi Airways as YI-AQY on 30-11-2012
  18. Malaysia Airlines A330-322 9M-MKC Manufacturer series: cn 069. First delivered: 28/09/1994 Configuration C 44, Y 250 Ferried 24-26/11/2012 Subang Airport to New Chitose Airport, Japan. Onwards to Portland Int'l Airport, USA. Currently stored at Tupelo Regional Airport for part-out and scrap.
  19. Agree with MAR. However, on a side note, the catchment area of both SHA and HGH are almost identical, which to D7 may not want to spread their resources thin. I would think that Hangzhou will be drop some time in future if Scoot really eat into D7's market share.
  20. It is due to all these nutcase politicians that brought Malaysia Airlines to today's situation..
  21. Russian Federation is using IL-62M RA-86540. Russia usually it comes with a battalion of aircraft: two IL-96, three Tu-154M, two to three IL-62M and a IL-76 sometimes.
  22. I wonder if those rural airports can accommodate Saab 340? Just read at airliners.net, American Airlines has stored many Saab 340. Read more: http://www.planesofthepast.com/abilene-regional-airport.htm Dornier 228NG is not a bad idea as it has all new electronics avionics and Hornbill Skyways may have the expertise to maintain the aircraft. For sure, going for Twin Otter Series 400 will bring most benefits.
  23. Hahas!! Like your comment. In Sarawak, only two companies can do these projects, Naim Cendara and Pan Sarawak...both belongs to ATM....er..'machine'.
