Y. J. Foo 0 Report post Posted June 16, 2008 From today, if your AK flights are delayed over 3 hours that are caused by factors within the airline's control, they will receive the compensation. AK On Time Guarantee
Wilber Tan 0 Report post Posted June 16, 2008 foolish!! u can see very very tiny words for the terms and condition on the paper.. Any delay caused by AirAsia but not delays which are due to circumstances beyond our control such as bad weather, air traffic control, airport closures, strikes or natural disasters airport closure caused my sis sleep at LCCT last time... most airasia delays are cause by those circumtances..so RM200 for 3hr delay is fooling us
Ignatius 4 Report post Posted June 16, 2008 Some time AK is an extorsionist airline.. and they are good at manipulating the minds of our current generation.. hehe..but at least better than the dinosos we have under the hands of the dinosos govt
kevin garnett 0 Report post Posted June 16, 2008 does anyone know does the montreal convention apply for Air Asia in regards with delay compensation?
Ruiz Razy 1 Report post Posted June 16, 2008 Will we see MH taking doing something similar. Perhaps RM 200 every hour plus 500 enrich miles every hour ? not forgetting business class pax at least 2x's more.......
Louis L. 2 Report post Posted June 16, 2008 la ......... my flight was sunday 15th of june .. it was delayed from 1230 to 1445 ....
KK Lee 5 Report post Posted June 17, 2008 Before AK offer ‘On Time Guarantee’, they mush have worked out the statistic. For delay over 3 hours that not caused by circumstances beyond AK control such as bad weather, air traffic control, airport closures, strikes or natural disasters is unlikely to occur. Simon 3 Report post Posted June 17, 2008 So far i have not encountered any delay more than 3 hours. Mostly 1 to 2.5 hours
Yusoff 1 Report post Posted June 17, 2008 So far i have not encountered any delay more than 3 hours. Mostly 1 to 2.5 hours Barely. That's why AK ruled it at 3hrs. Nothing much. Just another marketing move from AK, i reckon.... just like the RM3 for Saving The Mother Earth... *finger in mouth, gagging*
Andi C 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2008 IIRC AK never use the term 'DELAY' they always use the term 'RE-TIMED' or 'UBAH MASA' Hence, AK never had 'delays' before <_>
V Wong 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2008 IIRC AK never use the term 'DELAY' they always use the term 'RE-TIMED' or 'UBAH MASA' Hence, AK never had 'delays' before <_> Exactly! That's why even though the flight is technically delayed for more than 3 hours, because you would have received SMS after SMS telling you flight is 're-timed' after 're-timed', there is no way you could receive any compensation. Pure gimmick, TF, but good try. AK after all is one of the 50 most innovative company in the world.
Andi C 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2008 And what about those who got bumped to another flight due to so called "TECHNICAL" (aka 'flight cancelled due to not enough paxs & move them to a later flight') "circumstances beyond our control" too?
