Flying from Amsterdam to Berlin Tegel with Transavia PH-XRA, B737-700. After arrival I got myself to Schonefeld Airport near Berlin. Here was the annual ILA Airshow with this year for 2nd time, A380! Here some of my shots of civil & mil, old & new! ENJOY! Shots of the 2nd day doing some spotting at TXL will follow soon! PH-XRA on final APP for RWY 08L @ TXL. Stored old Lufthansa 707 @ TXL seen from XRA on final app Off to SXF, ILA. Starting with Luftwaffe A310 from below Indian Air Force peacock heli's Patrouille de Suisse What do I see here? Big Boeing and Big Bus! More bus to follow! Big Boeing C17's belly. C17 departing!!! w0w! Old soldiers Bulgarian heli: Look! The Bulgarian flague on the rotors! Nice! Vivek 0 Report post Posted June 4, 2008 Nice shots! The IAF helicopter type is "Dhruv" Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) buit by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) in India. It is an advanced multirole helicopter currently in service with the Indian military. The IAF Dhruv aerobatics team is called "Sarang" which is the Sanskrit name for peacock. Sold by previous Dutch gvrmnt for (almost) no money (after these machines got checks and upgrades of millions!!!) :@ All people going into shade because of burning sun. And here the same smoker keeps on smoking Heli's comming back from ILA flightshow. They were based here. Luftwaffe Bombardier departing with Heli's landing and BA Airbus taxiing in. Luftwaffe Bombardier arriving Uncle Pieter, Still Germania in old colors, the last one I believe! Outbound from ILA to here home base this Douglas! Doing fly-by unexpected AWESOME! The other LH in Retro (after 707 seen in first post) One of best suprices... Boarding my flight to Amsterdam PH-XRD, sorry for bad shots, light against This was all I hope you all enjoyed! Pieter C. 5 Report post Posted June 4, 2008 TXL is always full of surprises: I always had great visits there in the past (when AB was still active between AMS-TXL) You had some wonderful weather there for spotting, CeeBee; got a sunburn too ? SXF and ILA reminds me of my fantastic visit of two years ago (see the old thread/topic); hope to visit again in 2010 with my spouse and do some BER sightseeing too (great city)... CH53 in formation: great smokers - not just the IL-62M QR A320: what can I say ? definitely one of the longest non-stop A320 flights between the Middle-East and Europe ...
