LeeCH 0 Report post Posted September 29, 2007 Vivek, can you let me know how to get to the squatters area (BOM Obsercvation Hill) that you shot those pictures? My nightstops in BOM need not be so boring anymore if you can show me there. I was there last month and I see a lot of local folks with no cameras there. Is it safe? And pointers? Thanks. Raj Changela 0 Report post Posted October 1, 2007 Vivek, can you let me know how to get to the squatters area (BOM Obsercvation Hill) that you shot those pictures? My nightstops in BOM need not be so boring anymore if you can show me there. I was there last month and I see a lot of local folks with no cameras there. Is it safe? And pointers? Thanks. LeeCH, have spotted twice @ VABB, however both times not so great luck. BOM has great traffic but it is still iffy for spotting. The location is right in the middle of densly populated area and not necessarily unsafe but be prepared for large crowds of kids! I was able to snap 3-4 shots before local police nicely kicked me out But last few weeks see more and more stuff coming out from there.

Sure, why not? How long is your stay in BOM normally? The area is safe, but an outsider with camera will definitely attract a lot of attention from the local squatters. Maybe, I can take you there if your stopover is on a weekend.
Vivek 0 Report post Posted October 1, 2007 A few more from BOM: The first Jet Airways B737-700 in the new livery. Jet Airways' first 777-300ER Air India Boeing 777-200ER, "Megh Malhaar" Air India (Indian Airlines) first A321 in the new AI livery
LeeCH 0 Report post Posted October 1, 2007 Vivek and Raj, Thanks for your inputs. Looks like its OK to be spotting there. But provided only with a local around. My stay in BOM is usually 24 hours only but I suppose it will be good enough. As I am staying quite nearby (Intercontinental), more reason to be there. SQ have two flights a day. One arrival in the morning and one arrival at night. Vivek, shall contact you when I have a BOM. Most probably coming next month as I have two DEL and planning to swap away one of it for a BOM. Cheers
