kianhong 0 Report post Posted October 14, 2008 Nice head on shot, MIR! That's funny! Nice departure shots, Greg. MIR and I didn't get any good departure shots because we were standing at the wrong side. I think MKD is grounded because its main gears door cannot close. Probably hydraulic problem. Here's some close-up of the big red Kangaroo. It looked very shiny and very bling under the sunlight. Rolls Royce Trent 900 that power the QF A380. Look at those swept fan blades, each probably cost more than a car. A380's signature - double decks. Big Red Kangaroo Vs. Small peoples. Thanks for viewing. Cheers. Min 6 Report post Posted October 17, 2008 The A380 has 14 single private suites in first class, featuring a 44cm video monitor. However, the price of first class has increased significantly and a seat to Los Angeles will set passengers back $22,000. Premium economy passengers will have a self-service bar and ergonomic sliding seats to "aid sleep and eliminate pressure points". A Qantas spokeswoman said the cabin of the A380 was almost 50 metres and it had an 80 metre wing span. Aspiring pilot Sam Mathews, 11, said the arrival of the airbus was an event he would not forget. The year 6 Hale School student was playing an aviation computer game at the weekend when he decided to email Qantas with his "expert knowledge" of the new airbus and request information on a good vantage point to see the historic landing. To his surprise Qantas replied and offered him a seat to join media, officials and Frequent Flyers on a promotional flight this morning. The giant A380 will eventuall replace Qantas' ageing Boeing 747-400s he's the luckiest boy that day! i played flight sim too,!! darn
