LOT Polish Airlines

B763ER - SP-LPB

An incident occoured last night while she tried to make an 90 degrees turns to depart runway 29L at Noi Bai. Has skidded off taxiway to soft/ muddy grass at taxiway S1B.

Here the shot before taxiing, now, she's still there and wait for rescue buoy to lift up and tow back.

Excellent catch, Khiem !!! :good: :yahoo:

C-9's are not seen often anymore, at least in my part of the world, due to noise-regulations :(

Since I've flown plenty of flights on the DC-9 (series 10/20/30/40/50) myself, I can attest it's a very nice aircraft to fly in, and it's very well built/strong...so, showing these to me now, generate a lot of sweet memories... ;)

Great colourscheme of the US Marines btw !!!

Guess they were on a fuel-stop enroute from ... to ... ?

Yes sir, for fuel and gone 1 hour later. Route from MNL to DMK via HAN. Very noisy engines in a wet day.

Btw, LOT 763 has moved after 3 days be stuck at the taxiway, 'cause taxiied out of the lane.

Great pictures and great narration there Tuan Khiem, thoroughly enjoyed all your images for both rarity and perspective.

The LOT B767-300ER and its pilots sure look like they are in a lot of problems.

Love those US Marines DC9s ... we used to have US Navy ones flying into SIN but I have not seen one of these in many years already.

Keep those images coming along!

Thanks KC for your compliment :drinks: appreciate that much :clapping:

LO's captain got big problem there, hope he would be soon relicensed to fly again. LPB was resscued successfully by great engineers :clapping:

A C17A rotating 25L at Hochiminh airport, very impressive take-off in really good performance.

Awesome action-shot of 44130 !!! :good:

Shouldn't have this been posted in the Tan Son Nhat thread ?

Regarding the C9 fuelstop: wouldn't MNL-DAD-DMK or MNL-SGN-DMK be more in line ? (= via HAN is detour ?)

Arrives at 2PM then departs at mid-night uncle. Plenty of time for spotting :drinks:

Wow, that's 'only' 10 hours of rest for the crew...

That's on the brink of legality according EU-rules...

10 hours of aircraft on ground means at most 8 hours of crew rest, well below the minimum of 12 hours of off duty time that I think is quite standard for airlines all over the world.

Could be a different set of crew, or else the incident could point to a breach of FTL by the airline.

Absolutely, Mizi !!! :yahoo:

Khiem, excellent shot :good: :good:

Letting you know, this very same AN-12 was at AMS a few weeks back, so it's really roaming around...

Today, we even had 4 AN-12's at AMS: One (EK-12006) grounded by the Dutch IVW (= CAA) and another one to pick-up the load of the grounded one (UR-BWF), and another was departing for Iceland (UR-CEZ), initially but had a rejected take-off, so now another one (UR-CCP) is expected tonight to take-over the cargo of CEZ...
