that list is from the Wikipedia.org article on KLIA.

It is quite accurate apart from the fact that Transaero don't fly to KUL at present.

The potential user list is also accurate apart from Royal Jordanian - nothing yet mentioned about restarting services to KUL.

However, their cargo airline list is rubbish. Some airlines are just placed there because they have underbelly cargo on their passenger flights. Some don't even service KUL.

Guys. I'm sorry. Somehow, I managed to miss out on an airline which still operates frequent flights in and out of KLIA.

- Pakistan International Airlines.

Do add PIA into the list of airlines which I posted yesterday. Thanks, and Happy New Year to all of you!

no pieter...Air Korea is a low cost carrier from South Korea.

We won't see any Air Korea soon because of this ruling from their government....

News from FT.com Nov 28 2007

The South Korean government delivered an embarrassing blow to Korean Air on Wednesday, bringing in a rule stipulating that all budget airlines must operate domestic routes for two years before they are allowed rights to fly abroad.

The news comes days after Korean Air, the country’s flag-carrier, detailed plans to launch a low-cost carrier in May. Air Korea, the new carrier, plans cheap flights to Japan, China, Thailand and Malaysia...

Saw this from KLIA schedule since yesterday 19th Jan '08 and it reappears again today.

Arr 0Y 0223 KTM 17:15:00 C LANDED

Dep 0Y 0224 KTM 17:50:00 C002R CLOSED

After searching for WWW awhile, here's what I got in flyyeti.com

Extract from their news

Sharjah, January 20, 2008: Air Arabia (PJSC), the first and largest low-cost carrier (LCC) in the Middle East and North Africa, has commenced operations from its newest hub in Kathmandu, Nepal, with the launch of flyyeti.com, Nepal’s first LCC. flyyeti.com’s inaugural flight took off from Kathmandu Airport today (January 20, 2008) to land at Sharjah Airport.

.

.

.

Based in Kathmandu, flyyeti.com will provide affordable and convenient service to a broad range of international destinations. The new carrier will start service from Kathmandu airport this week to two destinations, Sharjah and Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, and will extend its operations to further destinations across South and Central Asia, the Far East, Middle East and Indian Subcontinent in the near future.....

Anyone saw or captured this airline in KUL today ? :help:
