Norman 1 Report post Posted October 25, 2007 Weather was very inviting today, after dark and wet 'winter'... So I tried for JetStar again today hoping for early arrival & good light... Upon arrival @ WS... saw this guy already by the cargo apron... got confirmation from Jon... ETD 1955... Anyway... another brother also arrived... One small drama... if we could say that... CX HotelLimaAlpha reported engine problem, thus exited via CharlieTwo after lined up.. giving way to MikeQuebec to land.... MikeQuebec wobbled her wings... errr... jetblast from the A330??? Anyway... maybe false alarm for LimaAlpha.... departed to few minutes later with all hardware intact.. as far as I could see... BTW... TK got what he has been waiting to catch in KUL... And about an hour later, we were joined by two guys in white pickup truck with blue flashing light on top...... and that spells the end of spotting today. Anyway, I just hope they realize spotters are not dangerous to anyone except those with bad intend towards the airport security. We are actually the extra eyes. In fact we told them that we'll help them to do lookouts for suspicious character & inform them... but they kindly declined... But they allowed us to have one last shot before we left WX Stn Then we moved to the 14R approached area... The MAB security came over after Radzi left... and I engaged a conversation with them... 1. They confirmed that security around the airport being beefed up after Osama's drama with SQ 2. A few buildings on landside within fenced area (like pump house/power substation) been broken into lately. 3. Their duty being audited on daily basis now, from HQ as well Internal Security... and they allowe me to continue spotting at that area BTW... my first catch yesterday I dedicate it to Pieter... and TK & Jon... the security personnel sent their regards to both of you Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Thanks to your lucky all the way from down under, we got some specials and good light. Not to mentioned the security also leave us alone. Yeah, Chaity.... I was surprised too today when security just drove by towards the 'transformers' without stopping behind me.... I just waved at them, and they waved back... ... I thought I'm gonna miss this shot when security turned left to Weather Stn... Jet* was on shot final when they arrived... lucky they didn't say anything... Ok... some other captures in very-very-very good light today... A charter flight?? I'm gonna continue using UPS as my official carrier, Chaity.. Radzi 2 Report post Posted November 14, 2007 Went spotting today. Weather was good..... for the first 20 minutes, and again for the last 20 minutes. It was all cloudy in between. Not much to show. Horse Express from TGG. Unloading the horses. Guess where D7 doing their maintenance? I wasn't alone. Last time I met this guy, he was using a small PowerShot. Now he is an A.net photographer....
