BC Tam 2 Report post Posted March 3, 2013 Is there a story behind the 'Air Japan' title on ANA's JA616A ?
Raymund Yeoh 1 Report post Posted March 3, 2013 Is there a story behind the 'Air Japan' title on ANA's JA616A ? Actually if I'm not wrong most ANA planes have the title "Air Japan" on the fuselage
S V Choong 4 Report post Posted March 3, 2013 (edited) Is there a story behind the 'Air Japan' title on ANA's JA616A ? Air Japan is the charter arm of ANA. So believe this is a scheduled (?) charter flight to HKG? Uses ANA codes and call sign apparently~! My bro is a regular on Air Japan's flight between NRT-HKG. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Air_Japan Actually if I'm not wrong most ANA planes have the title "Air Japan" on the fuselage Not really. Air Japan's fleet comprised of 30x 767-300ERs only. All of which has the same colour as ANA. Edited March 3, 2013 by S V Choong
Raymund Yeoh 1 Report post Posted March 3, 2013 I see......so the ANA planes having Air Japan titles also operate as normal ANA flights n only used for charter when the need arises...Am I correct ?

S V Choong 4 Report post Posted March 30, 2013 I see......so the ANA planes having Air Japan titles also operate as normal ANA flights n only used for charter when the need arises...Am I correct ? No idea actually, they fly to some scheduled destinations of ANA (mostly Asia), using the same call sign of ANA except for ICN and SIN. In both ICN and SIN they use their own Air Japan call sign. They also have a handful of B767-300F's and B767-300BCF's.
