Colin Kok 0 Report post Posted May 26, 2008 Air China sent in Beijing Olympic 2008 "Fu Wa" B738 last night. So glad that she parked at gate D32. The SQ A380 in the background is without an engine. Taken on my way back to Sibu on 11/5 (Sunday). 3 airports in one frame - Seletar, Paya Lebar & Changi, so close to each other. Overview of Changi, the new runway 20L/02R is on the left. Also can be seen is SQ A380 berthing at T3 gate B4 & a plane is taking off from runway 20C. Hope u guys enjoy. Wow Raymond, excellent shots. You even managed to capture the Airshow location and taxiway leading to Rwy 20L. Beautiful !!! Thanks for sharing Colin JA614A operating NRT-SIN this afternoon. And also noticed somebody shooting with an XL long lens with a tripod on the beach. Wow lao !!! Leech....So super long your new lens, a real Giant !! That's where your big bonus went to izzit ?? hee hee hee.

KC Sim 2 Report post Posted May 30, 2008 A most unusual arrival today in the form of an A330-200 covered only in primer . . . routed Toulouse - Singapore - Brisbane (departing SIN to BNE at 2000 hrs on 31May). Registration is EC-333. A pity the weather wasn't great. KC Sim
Pieter C. 5 Report post Posted May 30, 2008 Very rare indeed, KC, wonder why she's using a Spanish test-registration !
Peter Smith 1 Report post Posted May 30, 2008 Awesome pics, KC! Surprised she's a week ahead of schedule. She was originally due in BNE on 6th June. Pieter, she's on her way to BNE for conversion to KC-30B for the RAAF (by QF Defence Services), hence the spanish test rego. There is one expected every 6months. Once converted and tested, she will join 33sqn which upon retirement of the 707 next month will move from RAAF Richmond near Sydney, to RAAF Amberley near Brisbane. For the 6months between the 707's leaving and first KC-30B arriving from Spain in February 08, the RAAF will use civil tankers from Omega Air (infact they already have used them for the recent Red Flag Alaska)

KC Sim 2 Report post Posted May 31, 2008 Today's weather is not the kind that makes you want to go out and shoot . . . but the promise of an A310-300 from White Airlines (hopefully still wearing the Air Niugini titles) was an irresistible draw. So with Ian Moy from Perth, we braved the waves of drizzle and finally saw it. It arrived from Port Moresby and is apparently going off-duty after being replaced by B767-300ER P2-ANA. It left again after a transit of 1hr 20mins. KC Sim

fablee 0 Report post Posted June 7, 2008 (edited) Have a question for you regarding overnighting a/c at Changi Airport. How much time usually before its departure will an overnighting a/c be towed to its departure gate from the remote stands? Thank you. 6/6/08 I was at the Changi Viewing Mall (Central Apron Section) and thought I would post an update on the Viewing Mall Retrofitting. The VM remains open for photography as of today Retrofitting near C gates Retrofitting near D gates Edited June 7, 2008 by fablee
fablee 0 Report post Posted June 7, 2008 (edited) Spotted the follwing at VM Any idea what IndiGo is doing here? Nevermind the Qantas. There seems to be a Gulf Air tail to the left of the QF. Do you know why she's in SIN? Thanks for viewing. Edited June 7, 2008 by fablee

The VM remains open for photography as of today Hi Fablee, thanks for the update on Viewing Mall Retrofitting. Do post some photos from time to time when you are around VM. Sad to see that VM is going to be plane spotters unfriendly.
