Alternatives than the A380

Which of the following aircraft could be an alternative than the A380 (just want to know)

I'd say 748 as Boeing created this as a competitor for 380.

B748 is the best alternative since the size and the number of passengers carried is almost similar to A380.

for a good aircraft, it has to be B773ER, but if they want something which is about the size of the A380, i choose the 748. Maybe later on, the 748 has a better range and efficientcy then the 773ER by that time.

Last time I checked. the 748 seating is 467 passenger (17 more than current 744). Airbus A380 can accomodate up to 550 passengers. 748 is still missing a lot of passenger, just to add a note to this one.

Alternative must be B748. The capacity of B773ER is no where near A380. I like B773ER ALOT though. GE90 rocks

If past record is to be believed; MH will order both 787 and 748 the moment it is making profit or 'on track to recovery'.

 

As for 734 replacements, MH won’t be using A320 like AK, so will order 738.

Yah agree with most of you that 747-8 is the nearest to A380 in terms of capacity but airliners are not rushing to buy it despite the delay in deliveries for A380 for some reasons. One is that the 747-8 will not be delivered in time even if orders are made right now, the A380 will be delivered faster even after the delay. The other reason is that the airliners are being paid huge compensation for the delays so at the end of the day and they pay like really little $$$ for each A380. Despite all the compaints and naggings, the airliners will stick with the A380. Look at SQ and you will know what I mean, they mention cancelling orders as being one of the options, but they will not do it. So for A380 supporters out there, no worries, it is juz a temporal problem before we get all those planes in our airports. Cheers

Might as well add the 737 and A320 to the poll.. or even the E190.... since none of the aircrafts listed are in the same class as the A380.

 

If you want an alternative in terms of size, it's a no brainer, the 747-8.
