T Azahan 1 Report post Posted August 15, 2005 donno laaaa. agreed with imran, image becomes clearer when reverser deployed. hehehe. all i could notice is that the wingspan (end to end) becomes flat 180 degrees upon firm footing by all four main bogeys during touchdown. different during flaring when wingspan on the upswing. and chaity, thanx for viewing. hope you can join us for spotting one day. Imran K. 0 Report post Posted August 15, 2005 THE RUDDER!!!! The pilots are probably correcting the aircraft thus enabling it to stay on the centerline.... Yay..now what did i win Emperor TeeKay?
TK 0 Report post Posted August 15, 2005 Not rudder, not speedbrake... Only 747 has this character once a reverser is in progress... Radzi...haiya, ex jumbo also dont know ah...i know, i know..long time no fly one. Try and look again. before reverser deploy and during reverser in progress!! Gavin Andrew David 6 Report post Posted August 16, 2005 normally when reversers deployed the slats will go back up , thts normal on the jumbo but not sure whether thats what tk is talking about
T Azahan 1 Report post Posted August 16, 2005 speed brakes/spoilers are already up moments of touchdown. before reverser is activated. see last pic of touchdown. starboard wing. ya laaaa gavin. donno what tk means. all i can guess aircraft 'senget' a bit.
Imran K. 0 Report post Posted August 16, 2005 Spoilers should be ARMed right... Therefore as soon as there is a ground signal coming from the landing gears, it will deploy automatically without any extra input from the pilot. TK... What did we miss?!
