Walter Sim 1 Report post Posted September 21, 2006 Why are they coming to Malaysia? Are they owned by Malaysia?
Raj 0 Report post Posted September 21, 2006 (edited) Why are they coming to Malaysia? Are they owned by Malaysia? Walter, Those planes are not owned by malaysia..Check the registration and also the Colour of the symbol.. Edited September 21, 2006 by Raj
Radzi 2 Report post Posted September 21, 2006 (edited) G-FRA* is used for target-towing; those things under the wings will be released in flight and towed using wires a few miles behind. Those targets will then be attacked by the fighters. A few years back in Taiwan a missile missed the target and hit the tow instead, I think all aboard was killed. Anyway congratulations TK for getting the umbrella 707 and the IL-62's sister. RAF if I'm not mistaken? Another 5-powers AIRDEX in progress. Guess thats why there is about 10 Tornadoes in KUA yesterday, together with our own MiGs and Hornets. Edited September 21, 2006 by Radzi

Chaity 1 Report post Posted September 21, 2006 (edited) Was at SZB today (9/21) and met Norman for a brief moment. No specials today and the weather was consider OK with slight haze. Traffic was not that quiet as planes passing by every 15 mins..... a bit strange, the aircraft reg no. everytime the same one At least got 1 Transmile 727F around 5PM. Edited September 21, 2006 by Chaity
Norman 1 Report post Posted September 21, 2006 Yes... was abeam SZB's Rwy 15 threshold hoping for some actions from RAF fleet. Was there from 1415 till 1500.... none Except, as Chaity mentioned up there,... traffic every 15min but with same rego M44-03 from RMAF... Doing Touch & Go... I waited until she did a simulated go round, then I moved back to office 'cos when RMAF did some T&G means.. they did a 'block booking' for the airport which translate to 'minimum activities' except for daily schedules... BTW... light wasn't that bad... except for my knowledge of camera setting suiting to it
