Edwin P K 0 Report post Posted July 9, 2006 Love the Ba triple Edwin!!! That SN Brussels, whats with the tail? is it some sort of a spoiler something like that. BA Triple, that's the one with 6 wheels on its landing gear right? Still building up my knowledge on aircraft types. Re SN Brussels...dunno la...maybe it's a stabilizer or something

Pieter C. 5 Report post Posted July 9, 2006 That SN Brussels, whats with the tail? is it some sort of a spoiler something like that? Re SN Brussels...dunno la...maybe it's a stabilizer or something Bellview is a Nigerian airline... the RJ100 you see of SN Brussels is using the speed-brakes for landing; the F70/100 aircraft have a similar feature (but only used with strong- and gusty winds)

Sneeze Lam 0 Report post Posted July 9, 2006 Edwin, those photos you have just uploaded, they look excellent! It seems that you have already merge with the Sony DC. Were they taken the same day as those perviously posted?
Edwin P K 0 Report post Posted July 23, 2006 Edwin, those photos you have just uploaded, they look excellent! It seems that you have already merge with the Sony DC. Were they taken the same day as those perviously posted? Sorry, didn't see this... The series I posted are not the same, they are 2 separate days I think... Btw, can anyone recognise this aircraft? US government? From today's spotting session - very bad weather. Bleah.

Edwin P K 0 Report post Posted July 27, 2006 Edwin, Nice shots All taken at Hatton Cross subway-station or Myrtle Avenue ??? Should come over to LHR next month: haven't visited the place for over 8 years now and badly need some new airline/aircraft shots What would be the best day at LHR to see those longhaul- and Middle-East airlines ? Hey Pieter, Yes, the recent ones are taken at the Hatton Cross tube station. I was going to head to Myrtle Avenue as that day the landing of planes were at 09R. I hate it when that happens! My previous photos are taken around the Northern Perimeter Road. If planes are landing at 27R that is...from Hatton Cross station just take a bus towards heathrow and stop at the Northern Perimeter Road. I still haven't figured out how to spot at the 27L, and 09L runways yet... Not too sure about when is the best day to check out long haul / middle east airlines...usually I'll go on Saturdays and check the Baa.com website to see their arrivals.. Edwin P K 0 Report post Posted July 29, 2006 Another week, another spotting session. Woke up today on a great Saturday sun, so it was a perfect day for spotting (so I thought). Skipped invitation to visit Stonehenge (been there done that), so Heathrow it is! Was glad to see planes landing on Runway 27R, so perfect spot to get some shots! Singapore Airlines Boeing 747-412 9V-SPG Eh...George Bush' plane eh? British Airways Airbus A320-211 G-BUSH And then out of the sudden, the plane started to fly in via runway 27R, and seems to switched to 09R!! Damn you wind! And planes lining up at 27R to take off at 27L! So I thought that's it lah...there goes my spotting session today...but luckily while i was snooping around the ground...I found a..."hole"... Edwin P K 0 Report post Posted July 30, 2006 Pieter, I think I got my runways all wrong hehe... Let me just reiterate my story...at first the planes were landing on Runway 27R, departing on Runway 09R...then it switched and planes started to line up at Runway 27R, and take off at 09L...! The line-up shots were something new to me, I was quite excited, but I had to peek between the gates...and my zoom was maxed out (12x!)...and there were times I saw police cars zooming by so I had to be cautious... Thanks Ibrahim, Raj, Walter and Norman, glad you guys like it. Can't wait for the next session. Sunny weather please....
