I was involved in the implementation for the Airport Pavement Maintenance System (APMS) Malaysia. This system is the first of its kind in Malaysia and the first phase of this project will cover the 5 international airports managed by MAB in Malaysia. We did KLIA last year and this time aorund its LGK and PEN. Below are the photos.

LGK ( 19/05/06-23/05/06)

1. B737-700 BBJ.

The MAB staff told me a rich tycoon was on this plane and entire hotel entourage from Datai Langkawi came to greet him/her at the tarmac, along with a Rolls Royce!! The plane was there for few days so i get the chance to snap snap snap..hehe

Did a quick search on P4-KAZ to find clues on the said VIP. Just last November it was sitting pretty at NWI:

It was then owned by a Mexican company (see the Mexican flag above), to be bought by the govt of Kazakhstan. So my bet is the Datai crowd was Kazakh govt VIPs. B)

I was in Langkawi last 2nd May. There was an Illyushin (86 or 96 not sure) from Ural Airlines park there on charter flights. Was told by the airport staff, the plane will be there until the 10th of May. Go check it out.

AFAIK Uralskie Avialinii only operates IL-86's and have no 96's in their fleet... ;)

Was this the a/c somebody has taken and posted months before in PEN(?) also?

If yes, we have now got the answer that the aircraft in that post is not having a HK rego, i.e. Not an Air Hong Kong.
