flee 5 Report post Posted December 24, 2015 Good catch of the Kitty, KS! Christmas traffic is so good that they can upgrade to B77W! So, depending on when you travel, you can get an A321, A330 or B77W with Eva Air....
flee 5 Report post Posted December 26, 2015 Some Boxing Day traffic. Eva Air sent their A321 after the Kitty upgrade the other day. But national carrier China Airlines upgraded to the Queen of the Skies Air Mauritius is still here. Hope they will stay, after seeing so many services to KUL being terminated.... New kid on the block Sri Lankan A321 deployed today Last, but not least, Saudia's special in all its glory.

Hakan 2 Report post Posted December 27, 2015 Ok, got it, finally I found some clues; "Monarch Airlines’ former Airbus A330-243 G-SMAN (msn 261) has found a new home. G-SMAN arrived back at Birmingham from Cambridge after repainting. The airliner will become 9M-AZLwith Eaglexpress Air Charter who will operate it on behalf of flynas." Normally, it must be shown "eaglexpress air charter" notice in the database that I looking but the most of records shows Monarch (G-SMAN) to Flynas (9M-AZL)no leased info by AircharterXpress. Anyway, I think she is the first A330 in flynas fleet for long haul. Seems really nice picture at KLIA.
Mohd Azizul Ramli 2 Report post Posted December 27, 2015 Last, but not least, Saudia's special in all its glory. Would appreciate a link to a write up about this special livery. (Being a former resident of Saudi Arabia) honestly I am surprised that Saudia came up with this scheme. It seems there are 13 landmarks being arranged along the fuselage. Would appreciate if anyone could help me identifying them: From left to right: 1. National Museum of Saudi Arabia in Riyadh? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Museum_of_Saudi_Arabia 2. Looks like the globe roundabout in front of Roshan Mall in Jeddah http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Attraction_Review-g295419-d7194066-Reviews-Globe_Roundabout-Jeddah_Makkah_Province.html 3. ? 4. Qasr Al Farid in Madain Saleh. Again, anything to do with Madain Saleh is VERY VERY surprising since the local relates this place as satanic/pagan/un-Islamic/a place which a Muslim should not be near to despite its historical value rivalling Petra in Jordan as they are from the same era. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mada%27in_Saleh 5. A mountain. Could be Mount Uhud in Medina or Jabal Rahmah in Mecca? 6. ? 7. Masmak Fort in Riyadh https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Masmak_fort 8. The Kaaba inside the Grand Mosque in Mecca 9. ? 10. The green dome of the Prophet Muhammad Mosque in Medina 11. Looks like another roundabout? 12. King Fahd Fountain in Jeddah https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/King_Fahd%27s_Fountain 13. Al Khobar Tower in Al Khobar https://www.pinterest.com/pin/414049759462808047/

Mohd Azizul Ramli 2 Report post Posted December 27, 2015 Thank you Flee. 1. That is not the National Museum. It is Addiriyah in Qasr Salwa. http://www.ada.gov.sa/ADA_e/DocumentShow_e/?url=/res/ADA/En/Projects/Addiriyah/index.html 2. Confirmed, it is the Roshan Mall's globe roundabout. http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Attraction_Review-g295419-d7194066-Reviews-Globe_Roundabout-Jeddah_Makkah_Province.html 3. Found it. But the description is only "an old building for King Abdul Aziz". http://www.shutterstock.com/pic-4592761/stock-photo-an-old-building-was-for-king-abdulaziz-saudi-arabia-king.html 4. Confirmed. The tomb in Madain Saleh. (WOW, they are finally promoting it, definitely the most outstanding historical site in the Kingdom). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mada%27in_Saleh 5. Definitely a mountain but which one? Too many prominent historical mountains/hills in the Kingdom and none has a unique shape to differentiate them. My nearest guesses would be: - Mount Nur in Mecca (the place where Angel Gabriel first visited Prophet Muhammad) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jabal_al-Nour - Mount Uhud in Medina (where the most famous battle involving Prophet Muhammad where he and his Muslim army were defeated took place) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mount_Uhud 6. Still no idea what is that cone shape building. 7. Confirmed. Masmak Fort. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Masmak_fort 8. Yes, this is easy. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kaaba 9. What is that building? 10. This is easy too. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Green_Dome 11. Got it. Al Shamal Gate in Tabuk. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/318489004870800240/ 12. Confirmed. The Jeddah Fountain. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/King_Fahd%27s_Fountain 13. Confirmed. Al Khobar Tower. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/414049759462808047/ Anyway, I will update the details about no. 5, 6 and 9 here as soon as I found out. Thanks. Izanee 0 Report post Posted December 27, 2015 (edited) Interesting thing about mada'in Saleh... Never mentioned by anyone the two times I went to Saudi. Such a shame because we can learn from what happened in the past, especially about stories you know from the Quran...
