Tuan Khiem 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2011 How can we spot these stunning pics? It's open location, or inside the airport parameter? Can easily access to that location , Suzuki-san? Thanks for sharing!
Junichi Suzuki 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2011 The heat wave was terrible though it was really cold day on that day... Tuan san> I was spotting here *point A This spotting point is a park and easy to go from Terminal3 by walk There are 3 x R/W(36R/18L,36L,18R and 01/19) in Beijing airport. The park is located at the end of 36R. Almost departure traffic were using this runway. On the other hand, the arrival traffic of CA,ZH,SC,3U and foreign airlines(T3 users) were using 01 and CZ,MU,HU,OQ(T1 and T2 users) etc were using 36L. Sometimes,I caught 36R arrival traffic, but it was only 4~5 planes. At PEK, we can see a lot of Chinese carrier Hainan Airlines Airbus A340-642 (B-6509) Hainan Airlines Boeing 737-8FH(Winglets) (B-5359) Chang An Airlines Boeing 737-8FH(Winglets) (B-5115) China Xinhua Airlines Boeing 737-84P(Winglets) (b-5141) Grand China Air Boeing 737-84P (B-2652) Shenzhen Airlines Boeing 737-97L (B-5103) Shandong Airlines Boeing 737-85N(Winglets) (B-5453) Chongqing Airlines Airbus A319-133 (B-6248) Sichuan Airlines Airbus A320-233 (B-6049) Tianjin Airlines Embraer 190LR (B-3166)

flee 5 Report post Posted March 4, 2011 It is such a treat to see photos from Beijing! So many different airlines that we don't see so often here in KUL. Looks like the heat haze gave you some problems! Thank you for sharing Suzuki san!
Waiping 12 Report post Posted March 4, 2011 Hi Suzuki-san, Any problems with the local authority, as I have read that taking picture around China airport is a strict no-no?
KC Sim 2 Report post Posted March 4, 2011 Hi Suzuki-san, Any problems with the local authority, as I have read that taking picture around China airport is a strict no-no? Quite the opposite Waiping. The police at Beijing Capital International Airport is extremely tolerant of spotters. Whether one spots from locations immediately outside the terminals or around the perimeter fence, one is hardly ever approached by any security staff demanding to know what one is doing or telling you that photography is not permitted. And while heat haze is indeed a problem - yes, even in the coldest of winter (I was there in mid-February and even with minus 2 degrees Celcius weather, heat haze was a problem. This is where one should concentrate on photographing approaching traffic while they are in the air - free of heat haze. Love all those special liveries. S V Choong 4 Report post Posted March 4, 2011 Air China's special liveries are nice and I hope they will adopt one of the special livery to replace their current blue cheatline. Can't say the same for China Eastern though, most of their special livery looked horrible (eg. Shanghai Expo livery... yikes)! Thanks for sharing, Mr. Suzuki! Junichi Suzuki 0 Report post Posted March 5, 2011 Waiping san> At least PEK is safe for spotting But according to my friend who visited PVG last year, he was taken by public peace authorities and received the investigation at their office. PVG is really severe for airplane spotting around the airport! If you go to PVG, please be careful Also please hide your camera when you don't take photos. Anyway, this is the last photos of PEK spotting in Feb Turkish Airlines Boeing 777-3F2ER (TC-JJF) New c/s Emirates Airbus A380-861 (A6-EDD)
