Liau 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2005 Pictures are very grainy due to the infamous ISO 400 of Panasonic's Lumix. Photos with flash were badly taken. Forgot to change the settings when shooting outdoor. Grrr...
Rozhan 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2005 (edited) Just came back last night. The airshows were fantastic and LOUD (!), although static display of civilian airliners were left wanting..... compensated only by PacMin models of Boeings and Airbuses in the indoor venue. I must commend Rolls Royce for generously distributing quality brochures and catalogs of their products to the general public. Excellent goodwill there. Boeing had none to give. Airbus gave me an A330 Product Briefing catalog with comprehensive performance analysis and excellent pictures, upon request. All in all worth the visit, and the cost that went with it. However I found out that, despite the LIMA event, food in Langkawi was not that expensive this time around, at least in Kuah town. Very normal prices at those warung makanan (food stalls) Edited December 11, 2005 by Rozhan
Pieter C. 5 Report post Posted December 11, 2005 Nice ah-mois, Norman, and..........were these Air Asia aircraft-models for sale or only for display ? By the way, found some interesting news: Irkut corporation negotiating Be-200 supplies to Malaysia [8 Dec 2005] /AVIA.RU/ 'We are discussing the possibility of Be-2 supplies to Malaysia', told vice- president for marketing and foreign relations of the Irkut corporation Vladimir Sautov to reporters at the aerospace and maritime equipment exhibition LIMA-2005. Answering a question from Interfax- ABN he said we have actually completed the technical shaping of the Be-2 intended for Malaysia . Sautov also said currently we are at the stage of proactive consultation on the Be-2 aircraft. According to him, if the aircraft is to be based in Malaysia, it will be used for firefighting and rescue operations practically in the interests of all countries of this region At present the Irkut corporation is implementing a Russian Emergency Ministry's conract for acquisition of 7 Be-2 amphibian airplanes. More Russian built planes for Malaysia, apparently !!!
Norman 1 Report post Posted December 12, 2005 Liau.. you're using Lumix too?? Your sky came out nice. I used ND x4 filter for my outdoor shots just to get the colour density, still not good enough As for indoor... the built-in flash of FZ5 is really lousy... so I sticked to ISO200 (400 too noisy), aperture wide open, MIOS Type2 and follow TK's advice..breath-in, hold your breath and snap Pieter, With the arrivals of Russians in IL76 and IL86 (excluding those in commercial flights).... who doesn't buy their products Heard also some of them going to merge... by that time they will be BIG time aircraft manufacturer Oh ya... the AK's models were for sale... errr... the aircraft model I meant --
