MH 772 loses engine parts while taking off from ARN
Andrew Ong replied to Vivek's topic in General Aviation
Sorry guys ; I sort of overreacted because I can't believe that one of MH's planes has that problem: parts falling off engines . -

Very smart idea from SQ , buying A330s to offset the A380 delay and their upcoming 787 and A350 . -
I thought the Alaska Airlines 737 plane landed on the taxi-way and the Continental Airlines 757 plane took-off on the wrong assigned runway .

Hi Vivek, Well, its not MH's fault because maybe the people that are checking the engines forgot to test it for any errors . -
MH 772 loses engine parts while taking off from ARN

I think the cause is poor maintenance -
I read the newspaaer the other day (in my own words): A former American Airlines DC-10-10 was converted to a plane that could drop hundreds of gallons of water, fire retardent onto the ground, the convertion took place around April-May 2006 and was certified by the FAA on September and it went into service with the California Forestry Service. Later in the month it fought its first fire, the "Day" Fire. It charred 129,000 acres and it dropped 34,000 gallon of fire retardant onto the Day Fire. Then it also dropped 42,000 gallons of fir retardent on the current but already extinguished "Esperanza" Fire. Comments are welcomed

Andrew Ong replied to Naim's topic in General Aviation
Sandeep, the Malaysian Tourism Comission wanted MAS to lower the rates becuase they want to promote the Visit Malaysia Year 2007 and the low air fares will bring tourists to to Malaysia and the tourism rate will skyrocket . -

Cathay Pacific’s 60th Anniversary Gala
Andrew Ong replied to Seng Lim's topic in General Aviation
Seng Lim, looks like CX has greatly improved the Business Class because it looks like a First Class Seat. How long was the whole event? What the difference between Cathay Pacific's Business and First Class seats? Sorry for asking too many questions because I have never flown on CX and I am finding facts about CX's services. -

Andrew Ong replied to Ian Lim's topic in Observation Hill
If there is 9M-MGG, then is 9M-MGH included ? It is because I heard the 9M-MGH is no longer serving MH even before FAX was established . -
