MH planning a "big bang" next yr: service enhancements
BC Tam replied to Mushrif A's topic in General Aviation
Actually, there have been occasions when the "high expectations" were realized. Problem was sustainability of those high standards. It is a pity -
TG and the new BKK airport - about as smooth as sandpaper!

Allows ample for some serious therapy before you put experience into words !! Will try and oblige - which part of cattle class you're interested in ?! -

All I can say is - thanks for the advace warning ! Barring unforseen circumstances, am due at BKK with the wife and kids on tow mid Dec and I suppose we should lower our expectations and raise disaster-alert level !! -
Don't discount possibility that Daniel might have already polished off a good portion of the meal before remembering to snap a pic of it

Goodness, notice the wrinkles on chin of -AAP ! Is it a normal sign of age or could it be a scar from her incident at BKI ?

Wht not try giving old KTM (train) a chance - maybe an overnight sleeper even ? We did JB-Sentral last year and I dare say it was a new experience, not overly taxing at all

Probably the diplomatic way to convey message of disgust and disbelief !!

Thai Airasia plans to return to Don Muang Airport
BC Tam replied to Tamizi Hj Tamby's topic in General Aviation
Very valid thought there - certainly a major consideration what with AK's scheduled turnaround time of something like 20 minutes. -
No need for 'rocket scientist' qualifications to work out that conclusion there !!

RM85 for use of an aerobridge - AK also want to potong cost !! Leo, Better get back to your source of info re. aerobridge cost being in thousands ! If they are paying that sort of money, they're getting skinned alive ! Surely there are many more aerobridge equipped airports in Malaysia nowadays ? -
Macau Airport and Zhuhai Airshow China 2006
BC Tam replied to Sneeze Lam's topic in Observation Hill
Goodness, Macau has quite a fair bit of traffic too ! Was fooling around with Google map the other day and what struk me was the close proximity of CLK, MFM and Zhuhai airports. I understand Shenzen isn't too far off either. Must be quite a handful for the ATC's -

Thanks for the translation Pieter - what crooked English ?! Can you oblige with the bit on the two bears and a man (I'm assuming it's a man !) ? -

SV, It seems the 'keep it under lid' dept has done its function well again here - not a squeak about this incident so far in the local press. Here in Sabah anyway, those who read the national dailies, please correct me if wrong Lee, Thanks for digging this out. I can't make any sense out of the text (anyone surprised ?!) but the bit about the guy snuggling up close to the the mummy bear and baby bear in that manner, I assume must either be a description of a tranquilized bear or a side effect of transplanting one's testicles with solid stainless steel balls !! -

Typo I presume ? They're A300's - no winglets, see ! -
I believe it's KLM - calm down Pieter, calm down !

Pardon the ignorance, but what on earth is a "hard block" ? I don't fully buy the theory about low-yield tourist routes not being profitable - perhaps less profitable. If airlines continue dropping these routes just so they can concentrate on the milk and honey runs, then the resulting competition on those lucrative routes will no doubt drive yields down. Then what ?!

I like the bit on "Low-Cost Carrier of the Year" award organised by Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd Looks like Datuk TF is turning up the heat a notch further. But give credit where credit is due, he does have some sensible reasoning to back up (most of) his rhetorics

Bit of a tit-for-tat by both A & B isn't it ? Shanghai Airlines (exclusive B customer so far) ordering A's product whilst TAM (exclusive A customer so far) ordering B's product for first time. Pieter, I was given to understand that is the pace at which things happen in Portugal !

Any idea why JHB is used as the yardstick for comparison ? I suppose it's a heck more politically correct than saying it will be half the size of KCH, or worse still a miniscule fraction of KLIA ! Tamizi, any artist's impression of the project yet ? I thought someone came out with some conceptual design and made a model of it not long ago - are they likely to follow that idea ? I'll bet Tan Sri TPK is already rubbing his hands in eager anticipation !!

Anyone noticed the model (above Steven Miller's head) in Naim's post no. 41 ? They are cramming max number of pax into the bird, even into the nose cone, judging by the windows there !! -
Yes, they are losing less money now than what they were losing last year, apparently ! It's quite true then, everything is relative
