This evening's MH2 (23:30) to LHR is now tomorrow morning's 07:00 departure - BKI transit pax still do not know their fate 😁

It begs the question whether their plan to have FY do all domestic routes (excepting a few 'essential' ones that apparently only MH can fully fulfil) is still intact - for sure what that is scheduled now cannot be what was envisioned 🙂 Then there is the proposed BKI hub ..... haiyah 😁 Dunno lah, is FY jet operations meant to be at all ? Remember, this is their second go at it. The first attempt was swept aside upon the MH/AK 'merger' - leading to the couple of insects being abandoned at KUL for years thereafter I recall 🙄

Those sort of reduced FY frequencies are bad by their own right, but do look decidedly clownish when you see what AK has on offer as an alternative 🙄

Looks like the charter to/fro Guangzhou (Batik, 9M-LRL) did not happen, equipment diverted to BKI enroute from KUL and returned thereafter Must be some frustrated holiday makers at CAN now But I see flights resuming at both TWU and SDK already

Oh my gosh, and we're anticipating the Chinese labour day holiday rush over next few days/weeks 🤦‍♂️ Understand they are also doing direct charters into TWU as well 😑

I am getting impression FR24 has gone bonkers - unless there is nefarious reason for the weird diversion 😀

I see MH2668 KUL-SDK being operated by an A330 later today OD1002 KUL-BKI is on its way now with an A330, as will MH2614, 2616, 2638 and 2640 later in the day

Well, since subject been raised ..... 🙂 Snapshot at BKI one very early morning last week - note those two FY flights at top of list, one delayed 12:30 hours, the other 08:50 hours 😕

Wow, that would be some heritage to be impressed by - like twenty odd years from the W brothers' first flight ?! 😜

Is there some sort of convention as to how flight numbers are allocated ? Like your 'normal' scheduled flights vs chartered flights ... etc ? Curious 😀

Many thanks 😀 So it wasn't just the 'misalignment' between the bottom part of the side cargo door and the pallet loaders, which I assume there must have been a solution devised 😄

This is gonna be way OT, but A330P2F do exist then ? Do they have the side cargo door retro fitted ? As I understand it, the A330 was not seriously a candidate for freighter conversion previously due to the forward dipping incline of its fuselage. That also being reason for the 'double chin' profile of the A332F So how have they managed to overcome this, if at all ? Tq for insight 😀

The people at Heathrow were probably more than keen to see her off before the unofficial 23:30-06:00 curfew, rather than having to accommodate the few hundred irate 'guests' for a further 6+ hours 😁

So the red/white livery did ever see light of day on the 380 (at least partially anyway) 😁 (my apologies, do not who to assign credit for photo - it just randomly appeared in my FB feed) That F-WWAJ eventually became 9M-MNB - could 9M-MNA also have had the same tail logo painted on before the orphan blue livery prevailed ? 🤔
