  1. Pok 'Im!! Pok 'Im!! Mari kito pakat naik kune-kune balik 'kapong [Pieter: Naim! Naim! Let's fly back to our hometown on the firefly!] Has anyone noticed that FY is slowly expanding its wings ex-SZB?? Things are looking very, very exciting! Oh and it flies to LGK too now from SZB.
  2. It's part of the agreement from the 60's with the main reason so as not to have an influx of fellow Malaysians entering the then, newly independent state under Malaysia. I'm from the peninsula working in Sabah. I have my working permit stamped in my passport (applied through the Immigration in Wisma Dang Bandang). Whenever I'm leaving the state, I'd have my passport stamped with the "departed" red triangle stamp. But on arrival, the immigration officers would just flip it through. When they see my permit, they'd just hand it back to me. I have an 'indefinite leave to remain' in Sabah until, of course I quit my job here. Those without working permit will have a 90-day 'visa' upon arrival. I don't find them a hassle. In fact I find it unique and special. Unique because it gives the locals a sense of territorial 'sovereignty' to safeguard local interests and land ownership. Also it is unique because in my opinion there are more Sabahans living in KL (or Singapore, for that matter) than Peninsular Malaysians working in Sabah! Hahahah.... Special because I feel like an expat with my red international passport bearing the working permit. Whatever it is, whether you are in Sabah, Sarawak or Peninsular Malaysia, we all use the same currency bearing the head of the same Agong. Calls made using cellular phones are mostly 'one nation, one rate'. Everybody loves KFC and McD. And mamak place is everywhere even in the nooks and corners of North Borneo! Life is too short to worry about territories and boundaries. Aramaitiiihhhh!!!
  3. Fokker 27? Once upon a time there was PEN-AOR-KBR runs by MH.
  4. I thinks the restriction is solely to comfort those who are incapable of doing it while flying. What is the use of double bed suites if intimacy provided by the very facility bars couples from copulation? Ceeeewwaaahhh!
  5. Went to the airport today accompanying a friend who wanted to go to the MH ticket office. Wasn't driving, and had the camera at hand New terminal taking shape. Shot from the main road towards KK from the south. Backlit. Lane leading to the old terminal. Under the road bridge. Romeo-Juliet doing MH51 to KUL Viewed from the restaurant upstairs. Through very dirty glass. One of MASwings buntings at the MH office.
  6. As if to celebrate "BKI Spotting" thread which has reached its 100th page today, Miss Hibby decided to pay BKI a visit! Credits go to Capt Radzi for the tip-off and my GP for the painkillers and MC (and Valium! yes, I'm on Valium now). Here's a quick 3-page comic illustrating it all today Then Meor and I adjourned from out respective spots and RV at our usual air-conditioned after-spot chillout place at T2.
  7. OK, that's why we had a special treat today at BKI Thanks capt for the info!!
  8. Ok MH2663 is NOT involved at this time. Noted. Hehhehe.
  9. I guess people driving to LCCT from Kuala Lumpur have gained enough momentum to make it all the way to JB by the time they reach Nilai intersection... hahahah.
  10. Yikes!!!! You ARE already here!! Hahahah I should go for another eye test soon.
  11. WWWAAAAUUUUUU!!!! Azahang, your shok meik mai ais bleek, yuno! Wah, bakpe mung dok balik skali nga orhang 'puang nye? Dok puah makang 'kepok Batu Rhakik ke? Hehehehe.
  12. Yay, very well written. Perhaps we should invite Mr Dennis in to MW. Hheheheh
  13. PEN - KBR - BKI vv. please please please... heheheh
  14. Perhaps donning a white short sleeve shirt, black pants and a songkok and sticking yourself to the ever-eager KJ boys would further enhance the chance of entering!
  15. THere is a reason why I will fly with MH still: tickets provided by my employer. Hehehehh... or and when seats on AK is unavailable or the nett price gets higher than that of MH. Of course I'm talking about domestic travel.
  16. Yes, Mr KK Lee it's good diversify our fears, CONspiracy theories, sweeping generalizations and cynicism-beyond-hatreds to cover all sorts of perspectives!
  17. KUL spotters are bracing themselves for another heightened euphoria with the shutter buttons, eh?.... Hhehhehe
  18. The Perak MB really needs a development project to talk about during meetings with other MB's... hahahah
  19. They are Bruneians. What do they care about cost and such? Hehehheeh. In a different light, it provides everyone from KCH with better connectivity to get elsewhere ex-BWN on their swanky little airline. Similarly if anyone were to fly to Australia, it's better to do it on Royal Brunei ex-BWN, not AirAsiaX ex-KUL -- from my base here in BKI....
  20. Aku ingat aku aje yang buruk lantak kat sini... heheh Selagi MH tak buat buffet-di-langit, selagi tu kaki-kaki buruk lantak bising. Ok carry on with the discussion. I'm done.
  21. Wow, thanks for sharing capt. It's like they lined up for you to shoot. I hope you had been extra careful that day with your camera...!
  22. MH kebaya: excellent and timelessly elegant. Keep the slits to remain unseamed! MH jacket with songket lapel and the green-turquoise colour: never liked them
  23. Hmmm... somehow the name Banda Atjeh conjours up those images of Boxing Day of 2004. But I think the lure is still there looking at the various activities possible.
