  1. Yes, the TR was indeed done by yours truly . But it was last year, before the in-flight insult that is the snackbox made its way to the sky. What about now?
  2. Can anyone confirm the type of food service rendered onboard MH738 KUL-BWN-BKI these days? Thanks.

  7. Hello guys, here's another one. It's from Noorkumalasari, no less! Taken from her 1979 Album "Noor", the song is aptly entitled "Pramugari". It's composed by Akbar Nawab and Noordin Che Din. I remember reading an article in my aunt's very, very old copy of Utusan Radio dan TV around three hundred years ago about young Noorkumalasari and her sister Noorsalasawati. She was quoted as saying that she wanted to be an air hostess. Of course she didn't pursue being one. Otherwise Malaysia wouldn't have got its Noor to brighten up the late 70's and 80's. Children of the nineties, if you don't know who Noorkumalasari is, please consult your aunt. I have done a little editing on the iMovie software by dumping some random photos from my iPhoto library and the mp3 file acquired from my online friend sezali. This is a product of half an hour job. So apologies if it less than imperfect hehehe.... Click here. Enjoy Pramugari Tugas aku pramugari Di atas awan nan tinggi bersama penumpang ku sayangi mana saja hendak pergi siang malam jalan tugas pakaian indah menghias senyuman mesra setiap hari itu tanda ambil hati berbagai ragamnya penumoang kulayan dengan tenang segala tugas biar kemas agar merasa puas tugas jauh tak peduli di dalam dan luar negeri rasa bangga dalam hati jadi seorang pramugari ____ Air Stewardess I am an air stewardess High up in the clouds With my beloved passengers wherever they are heading to I do my work day and night Donning my pretty uniforms And warm smile everyday To capture people's heart Passengers are of all sorts I serve them with patience All work must be neat So that we're happy with it My work takes me far Within and out of the country I feel proud inside 'Cos I am an air stewardess. The lyric is so bimbo-ish, I know. Hahahha...
  8. I think the red one is the next revision of male FA's uniform on MH -- inspired by Hang Tuah! Hehehhe... just joking, Capt.!
  9. Alahai guys, don't be too pedantic lah. Hehehe Mr. Teo CK, next time be careful with terms, jargons, and abbreviation relating to aviation, ok? You are among hardcore industry watchers here! Now, back to the original enquiry...
  10. Hahahhaha... good one, mushrif! I think it's not even masking tape but cellotape (brand: Loytape) instead!
  11. How to make the snackbox better? I'd say replace the limp sandwiches with a one-footer Subway Italian BLT with everything on... Can't get enough of it!
  12. Yes. And I'm not going to be the pengawas reminding new members to wear their name-tags again. Nanti kena belasah kat luar.
  13. Oh yeah. Edited the line but missed that one. Thanks for your proof-reading. Now, there are a lot more to correct for others, BC. Don't let me get in your way!
  14. Capt., imagine in my line of work, I get those on a daily basis -- including my university students! And please don't let me started on the sms spelling and language... Parents, check you kids' penmanship before it's too late.
  15. Yes Fitri, where you get the best Dewan Makan Ikan Jaket Besi Sambal.
  16. The Turkish Delights are now served.... next helping please, Pieter!
  17. Pretty tricky there if you asked me. With MH 'new check-in system' (according to two equally annoyed check-in lady I faced) now, I had a difficulty in having my baggage through on my onward flight to BKI recently. I was from KBR going to KUL and then to BKI. As I was travelling on promotional tickets which are on per leg basis, I have two booking numbers for the whole KBR-KUL-BKI journey. The lady in KBR had a difficulty in producing the KUL-BKI boarding pass to me although after an extended bout of typing on the keyboard, she managed to check my luggage through to BKI. I had to visit the transfer desk for my boarding pass on my onward flight. And I was talking about the same airline on domestic routes within the same day with only some time apart. In your case, you only have 90 minutes from ETA before your KCH flight, coming in with a different airline from an international destination. And we haven't factored in possible delays in your long journey home from LHR via CMB. As for the 'L' ticket, I think it is non-refundable and non-exchangeable and only valid on the flight you are booked for. Good luck Chai. Welcome back home.
  18. Hehehe... perhaps if shot against the airport terminal they'd be not so generic? Hope my 18-200 will be able to catch those small planes well. I mean, they are so small...
  19. Exactly my thoughts too. And I am very, very afraid of anything serpentine.
  20. Pengkalan Chepa (PC) town is nearby. So is the new township! TeeKay,Mung ni... sebot mmolek skeq. Bukang 'kote baghu' la... 'koto baghu'. Lamo kang orhang ingak mung 'nyapong kei.
  21. Yes. PUTIK can be seen on your 5 o-clock from the spot. Access road is beside this:
  22. Haven't tested their authority at KBR yet. I wonder if we could spot from here: ...without being chased away by them.
  23. Hello fellow spotters, KBR/WMKC is not a busy airport. However, if you're back in KBR and the spotting bug in you begs to take flight, here is a guide for you, compiled from MH, FY and AK websites. There are 11 scheduled flights coming in and departing from KBR but only eight is 'spottable' in the daytime. All flights operated daily except MH1384/MH1385 which only run on Mon, Wed and Fri. Apart from these scheduled flights, there are also small aircraft buzzing in and out like mosquitoes...
  24. Fitri, in fact I wouldn't mind if they do, as long as they don't weigh me at the gate and charge for the extra pounds! I'd go insanely berserk!
  25. As I always travel light on AK (with the exception of the last trip I took), I second this move -- on one condition -- pax without baggage to check-in would pay less fuel surcharge than the amount they do now.
