Not to promote, but to suggest. getting some models could help a lot too. Models are scale down to smaller holdable size, but they are accurate to each other. It's one good way to use for comparing. Bigger scale has better detail, but in case of comparing between 777 and A330 smaller models like 400 scale already good enough. Azuddin

actually this is a good topic I myself confused between A330 and 777 back in 1998 when i first visit KLIA. these two aircraft has almost the same fuselage length (A330-300 and 777-200). The first time i try to compare these two aircraft is by looking at the winglet. but winglet can be confusing too since there are a few A330 fly with broke off winglet, like one of NWA A330 which the winglet was removed but it still can fly. other option of comparing is just like Andy said, the windshield. Also the tail fin which A330 tail fin has the smooth edge but 777 has sharp edge. One more thing is the, I don't recall the name of the sharp pointy thingy under the flat, A330 has 4 of those under each wing but 777 only has 3.

That's true, not all stranger next to you are friendly. My last CO flight IAH-LAX, in first class, the french lady next to me were not that friendly. She even speak to the steward in a rude manner. after seeing that kind of behavior, I just sit quietly and turn on my laptop and put on FS9. Most of my other flight, i have the stranger next to me are very friendly. Some of them are Australian, Mexican, Chinese. but the time when i sit next to the mexican guy, he was very friendly indeed, kinda talk a lot but at least keep me accompany on a boring red eye flight, and i can't sleep sine i still have my jet lag from my previous flight.

My kind of travel -Bring along a crossword puzzle book, kinda helpful for boring trip. -Make sure the flight has models for sale in their duty free in-flight sale, i bought the model and never tired of admiring it and realize my trip almost end. -I bring my PDA with me the whole time, with some movies, mp3 and games in it. -I bring along my laptop and put on my FS2004 when it's boring. -I ask for a lot of pepsi when i can't sleep, sometimes 10 cups. -Get a cup of cofee and drink it without sugar to make it strong, trust me, you can fall asleep quickly. -I walk around the cabin with my camera, especially on a 747. -Lay my hand on anything i get my hands on, like magazine, safety card, air sick bag and other stuff. -Talk to the stranger next to me. Just start with a hello and not talk too much, because the stranger next to you might be too friendly. what's worst, he might still has his jet lag from previous flight.

I'm seeing a nice development. Besides of IAH, TGG is one of the airport where i frequently take flight since i was in MRSM KT a few mile up north.

I see, just find out from some source that The Southwest 737 is still in the hangar at midway today and still under repair.

Actually it's third crash invloving 737NG, but yes it's second if involving written off accident. Southwest 737-700 (overshot the runway at Chicago midway) is the first and involving ground death. It was said that the damage of N471WN is beyond repair. I'm not sure if it's already written off.

My longest would be 26 if i didn't include my transit at KLIA, TPE, LAX and delay. it was Kuala Terengganu --> KUL --> TPE --> LAX --> IAH. This happens back in 2003, first time travel alone.

747-8 promise a well performance, I would also choose it. For now, 747-8 not yet flown. So i choose 773ER if order has to be placed in nearby time, since we all know the performance already.
