  1. Really? But that's quite a revenge on QF after QF working with EK in Dubai, right? and I remember there's another name for such route, it's not called kangaroo route anymore. Besides, hasn't BA started working with CX on the routes to Australia? It's interesting to see how much longer BA is going to fly to SYD via SIN and shift to HKG.
  2. MH is doing the promotion one world Matta fair to USA at 3779! But I couldn't find any fare on this.
  3. From what I know, it's quite competitive. I believe MH won't stop to increase the flights to Australia. SYD Route: MH - 3 x daily / CX - 4 x daily - All using 333 MEL Route: MH - 3 x daily / CX - 3 x daily (1 stopover, departure only) - All using 333, except MH using 772 on one of its daily flight PER Route: MH - 11 x weekly / CX - 10 x daily - All using 333 ADL Route: MH - 8 x weekly / CX - 7 x weekly (daily departure stopover) - All using 333, except MH using 772 on one of its weekly flight BNE Route: MH - 7 x weekly / CX - 11 x weekly (3 x weekly 1 stopover) - All using 333 CNS Route: MH - None / CX - 7 x weekly (4 x weekly 1 stopover) - Using 333 DRW Route: MH - 5 x weekly / CX - None - Using 738
  4. I suppose BA might want to reconsider working with CX if MH is able to get more flights into Australia and Malaysia & Australia having the open skies policy done!
  5. Remember how SQ was trying to stop QF on the RedQ in SIN?
  6. Same thing with SQ and MH.
  7. They would really need a lot of aircraft for these routes!
  8. Not Sure if anyone has posted this before, but I have yet to come across this... 129 routes are under plan from Jetstar HK! Wow... http://airlineroute.net/2013/09/03/jm-aug13/
  9. Surely no priority would be given to any aircraft unless running on low fuel or some passengers got terribly sick and require immediate medication attention.
  10. RM 8 per hour?? That's very low pay!
  11. Weird, I tired on several Malaysian cities. BKI - LHR - can't BKI - JFK - can't BKI - AUH - Okay PEN - LHR - Okay PEN - JFK - can't PEN - AUH - Okay KCH - LHR - Okay KCH - JFK - Okay KCH - AUH - Okay LGK - AUH - Okay, JFK & LHR... can't
  12. Finally, now one can book on MH engines to the AA codeshared destinations like JFK and ORD!
  13. I believe some days the Chinese tourists could improve themselves. It's a shame for me too since I'm a Chinese, though not from mainland China. Back in year 2010 when I was on the MH flight to TPE from KUL, my parent did ask the flight stewardess if the blanket could be kept as souvenir. Guess what? The flight stewardess said if you asked me, then can't, if you didn't ask me, then can.... LOL. So MH won't really bother or stop the passengers taking the blankets or cutlery then. But of course, taking the life jack is definitely a big fat no!
  14. Chinese travelling to Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand are reportedly the latest to show bad behaviour overseas. IN the latest controversy involving Chinese tourists, a group of mainland travellers surprised Singapore Airlines (SIA) staff when they refused to hand over 30 sets of stainless steel tableware during a recent flight, Chinese media reported. It was only after repeated warnings from a tour guide that the passengers agreed to hand them back to flight attendants, South China Morning Post reported, citingQianjiang Evening News. The Chinese passengers were on a tour of Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. While onboard the SIA flight, they had intended to keep the stainless steel knives and forks provided during a meal, the report said. It was not clear when the incident took place. According to the report, the tourists were mainly from a small town in Zhejiang province. The flight attendants told the tourists the stainless steel tableware could not be kept because it was going to be re-used – unlike plastic disposable items. But the tourists refused to hand it over. They said that relatives who had flown with SIA in the past told them they could keep the tableware, the report said. The astonished flight attendants then asked a Chinese tour guide for help. The incident finally ended when the tour guide told the tourists they were hurting China's image abroad. "Stop hurting the reputation of Chinese people," he said. The travellers then handed back the tableware, the report added. The incident follows a number of reports this year on bad behaviour overseas by Chinese travellers. This includes a widely reported incident where a Chinese boy carved his name on a 3,000-year-old precious relic during a trip to Egypt. This prompted China's deputy premier Wang Yang to state publicly that Chinese tourists should improve their behaviour overseas. – The Straits Times, Singapore/Asia News Network http://www.thestar.com.my/Travel/Asia/2013/08/29/Chinese-tourists-on-SIA-flight-tried-to-keep-cutlery.aspx Not really a big matter, isn't it? I used to take few as souvenirs from MH flights too, and passengers also keep the blanket.
  15. All these whiles, the Asian airlines like SQ, MH, CX are the real legend airlines providing world class services. But now I think it might slowly emulated by EK, or EK is just nice and right on par with them.
  16. Does Emirates, Qatar, Etihad serve alcoholic drinks?
  17. Ain't there was an early post saying that BA would work with CX after QF dumping them in SIN?
  18. I do hear that BA crews are quite classy and services are pleasant too. It's rather sad to hear BA still not yet initiating their plan to fly into KUL, though KUL does attract more UK tourists and travellers than CGK, But of course both MH and BA are now oneWorld and with MH doing twice A380 to LHR daily, it might be hard for BA to compete directly with MH.
  19. JQ used to fly SYD - KUL, but dropped after couple of months.
  20. I would say KUL is more like 40 business and 60 leisure or some people might say 50-50, as well as pretty much as a transit hub, though not posing a strong one compared to SIN and HKG.
