As mentioned, the aren't a lot of differences in the seat configuration between MAS 333 and SIA 333. As a matter of fact, the IFE system is the same. The seats in Y is of the same design as they are from the same manufacturer. Only Business Class is different. The ex-US 333 are the same dinosaurs MAS dumped a few years ago. Don't think it is wise to get those unless MAS intend to put these ex-US 333 on flights as far as India and China only, though these ex-333 also can operate as far as the Middle-East and Japan but they just aren't as efficient as MAS current A330-300X. Besides, seat configuration wise the ex-US 333 is really different from MAS 333. Business Class is absolutely different. Economy Class is different too.

Those ex-US 333 are really old already. Quite a number of SQ 333 will become available from next year. Perhaps they should look at those instead. Seat configuration wise there aren't a lot of differences. Just that SQ is using RR on the 333.

MAB Orders 15 Boeing 737 MAX 8 with 25 Options
Isaac replied to Vicknesh PS's topic in General Aviation
The one on 737 Max isn't a Scimitar winglet. The winglet on 737 Max is different from Scimitar winglet from Aviation Partners. -
Air Seoul, newest Korean LCC to start operation today
Isaac replied to JuliusWong's topic in General Aviation
This is the current schedule for OZ757/758. So it means starting in mid-Oct the route will be flown strictly by LCC (Air Seoul, Jin Air, Eastar Jet and Jeju Air). Luckily there is still Dragonair/Cathay Pacific providing a one-stop service from BKI to ICN at a cheaper price than these Korean LCC. -

Air Seoul, newest Korean LCC to start operation today

May be it's because OZ get quite a number of Star Alliance connecting traffic. Asiana Airlines has also done a lot of charters from Busan to Kota Kinabalu in the past using Asiana Airlines own A320-200. -
Yes. Normally Asiana Airlines will have extra flights or have some flights upgraded to an A330-300X throughout July and August. There normally are chartered flights from Busan during July and August too.

I second that. Big thumbs up

Off-topic a bit. But TM broadband and fibre are so expensive. And it is a monopoly market. Maxis too offers home fibre but Maxis has to depend on TM Unifi.

I thought the thing never worked ? I once changed my dad's flight to NRT. RM700 was successfully charged to my card but there was no new itinerary issued. My dad had to go to KL Sentral but only to found out he was still booked on the original flight.

Sinchew covers this today. http://ent.sinchew.com.my/node/65779?v=mobile No problem

Malindoair is expected to launch a flight between BKI-TPE this June according to the Liberty Times newspaper from Taiwan.

Asiana Airlines A321-200 fitted with AVOD comes with an average of 33" of seat pitch in Y and they are very comfortable.

Actually with the addition of Jeju Air, there will be 4 Korean airlines (Asiana Airlines, Eastar Jet, Jin Air and soon Jeju Air) serving ICN-BKI. Asiana Airlines have been flying daily between ICN-BKI for many years now. Eastar Jet usually operates 4 flights a week but flight is increased to daily during peak season. And Jin Air is flying to BKI on a daily basis now too.

But TG hasn't been operating the 333 to KUL for more than a week now. TG415/TG416 have been operated by the 777 most of the time in the past one month.

There is still plenty of space available at T1. It won't be a problem for AK to introduce another 20 daily departures even after moving to T1.

2 Daily Emirates A380 to Kuala Lumpur from 1 July 2016
Isaac replied to flee's topic in General Aviation
It is in the normal configuration (10 abreast on the main deck), just without First Class and a smaller Business Class cabin. Speaking of EK A380-800, EK will upgrade one of its 6 daily flights to BKK to a 2-class 388 (currently a 3-class 77W). 4 out of 6 daily flights in and out of BKK will be operated by 388! -
Asiana Airlines flies many passengers from the USA and Russia to BKI on OZ757. I also noticed there are many white passengers on Silkair's flight between SIN-BKI. While on the Dragonair afternoon flight on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday where most of the North America bound passengers are taking, majority of them seem to be mostly Sabahans with residency status in either USA or Canada. Speaking of the Mainland Chinese, many of them are starting to come to Sabah again. With MAS out of the picture soon (BKI-HKG), hopefully KA will once again sending their 333 to BKI on a regular basis. KA used to send their 333 to BKI every school holidays but not since MAS increased the flight frequency to daily a few years back.

AK is still offering double daily flights between BKI-HKG. Believe most Hong Kongers and Mainland Chinese are not quite over MH370. So many of them will insist to be booked on the KA flight. I had taken MH385 and MH384 14 times already in the past 3 years. The average load on MAS flight between BKI-HKG was consistently higher than KA's (before the MH370 incident of course). Down to twice a week. Cost of operating the route must be higher than before (hotel for the crew, allowance etc.) unless the crews working on this flight have to fly back to KUL as passengers... Shanghai Airlines will commence 3x weekly non-stop flight between BKI-PVG next week. Timing of the flight is better than MAS'. I wonder how this will affect MAS... MH has been flying between BKI-HKG for almost 40 years is it ? Anyway, there aren't many HKG-KCH passengers on MH385. Most of the passengers on MH385 originate from BKI. Same goes to the return flight (MH384), almost all passengers disembark at BKI based on my observations.

Temptations inflight shopping actually came back a few months ago. I think it was in April. All price is listed in USD only

Before AF resumed the flight to KUL, KL was already operating 10 flights a week between AMS and KUL. AF probably think they can capture the premium traffic between KUL and Europe, thus their decision to deploy the 4-class 772 to KUL and to take over the 3 additional weekly flights operated by KL at the time. However, it was clear that their 4-class 772 was a terrible choice for KUL after a few months operating into KUL. So it was replaced with a 309-seat 3-class 772. Too bad this isn't working too. A random search shows that the return air fare from BKK to Europe is consistently more expensive than ex-KUL. One can imagine just how bad the yield of AF's KUL flight is... AF put a lot of good words when they started flying to KUL, it was all praises and they were very positive about the future of KUL. It is very unfortunate that things did not turn out as they expected or forecasted. On a different note, LH was supposed to upgauge the flight between FRA and KUL from the current 343 to 744 in late October. This plan however was scrapped last month. Anyway, all the best to BA!
