Here's my comment about AK. My first flight with them was KUL-PEN-KUL, also my first LCC flight. The booking via Internet was extremely easy with e-ticket ready to be printed out after right after you pay. Fare is very reasonable most of the time if you book early. The airport is pretty messy even early in the morning. So many ppl and it took me quite a while to get to the entrance. Waiting hall is nowhere near an airport standard, but spacious enough for everyone. More shops in the airport plz! One thing I found really amazing about AK pax is that they q even before the staff call for the flight Amateur like me end up at the back of the line. The boarding went really smoothly for my flight and I was running all the way to my plane. The best thing about AK is that I can walk around the plane, listen to the engines and smell the fresh air! Anyway, even though I'm the last one in the q, I was the first one onboard Fresh and bright were the first two words pop up as I were entering the plane. I took the last row seat by the window. Our flight delayed for an hour not because of technical issue or sumthing but we had extra pax+s. Took them a while to find those two stalkers! They were escorted by the police and I dunno what happen next to them. Flight went smoothly, as usual, I steal the menu, magazine, safety card and skybus schedule inlfight Captain made a lot of announcements but I can't understand a single word he's saying but kudos to him for such a fine flight. IFE entertainment is at their best. The tight skirt show the panty-line is an excellent way to kill time beside reading the 360 or listening to crap songs that were played inflight. Not much different with MH except jetway and mango drink they serve onboard. I give AK 10 for now. Going to BKK with them this spring..........that could change the rating, or not

May be during Hajj season? Due to MH small amount of A380, leasing 742's for the season is better. How we put this myth to the rest? Plausible

May be bcuz some of the spaces of other gates taken to upgrade the A380 gate allow only narrow body to use neighboring gates? Perhaps Saw MH 330 parks beside A380 at SIN on A.net too thou....... LAX? I really think that LAX will max. get double daily if and only the market is there, but A380 would serve MH better with premier routes ex. LHR/AMS/SYD/AKL....

Who would expect SZB to see QF first than KUL

MH has done this kind of thing several times before, after a while, quiet.... Remember the 60 738's order 2 years ago, that one was a close call!

Seriously, you can distinguish Chinese people? When I walk around KL, it's so hard to compare local and foreign Chinese, there are so many of them and they all can't be from Malaysia.....I always assume that the one who search for direction is foreigner

Wow, what a bad system they have then.......all US airports require 55 minutes for transit, and they are way busier than KUL...may be KUL can adapt one or two things from IAH(lol bias)...Yes, I do hv a same story here, when I was flying to KUL from MNL, there are 10 people have onward flight to Dhaka. MH utilize the same aircraft for KUL-Dhaka, apparently the ground staffs were ready to guide them to the waiting hall, and they hv no trouble catching the flight which depart an hour later i think....

Isn;t those three kinda confirmed? They should introduce A380 to domestic routes, but I bet it's gonna go regional instead eg. SIN, BKK, HKG?

A big single terminal does result a long walk, example IAH! Took me forever to get to the gate from security check, the airport authority introduced rail system, but that doesn't seem to help much thou. I like KLIA design, it's big, original, and of course the best part of KLIA is the train ride! That's my entertainment if I'm bored

I try to book flight to BKK fromm18 to 22 with the malaysian agent website listed above, why I always get 0 result?

I'm going to Jakarta at the end of this month, of course first option will be MH. Browsing over the website, I found that the fare start at MYR1000, last year I paid MYR800 rt. only and this is before the snackbox being introduced! KLM offer the same route at half price which is MYR490 iirc. The downside of KLM is that I want to depart early morning Friday flight and arrive by noon on Sunday, both KLM flight depart at 4PM and 7PM respectively. Win lose situation here...........ergh, MH wth! p/s:Unc Pieter, can u adjust the timing for me hehe
