  1. Imagine getting a BJ and plane hit a turbulent- what a sight??!!!!!
  2. Very interesting thread to follow. My thinking into this is very simple ( I'm no master strategist) in that perhaps the current strat is a just a time filler actions i.e. vry short term. They probably needed to do this because the company was bleeding badly. So the immediate action was to stop the bleeding. Ensure the company's cash position is strong by doing whatever cost cutting measures possible. Perhaps they are willing to dilute some product quality. I'm sure they are aware of this. While they are doing this, they firm up on a long term strat, based on the assumption that cash position is healthy, in which they will redesign their product and service offerings. Of course time is of the essence and I do hope that they won't lose many customers while doing this because its a costly affair trying to win new customers. Its difficult trying to strike a balance in the real world- I've had personal experience in trying to revive an ailing company- u win some, u lose some. It's really hard to start when your base is in a poor condition.
  3. Azuan, pity the pic of the plane is out of focus sikit, otherwise even more sexier!!!!!!!! ha ha ha
  4. Looking at the pics, I presume the emergency slides have been 'pulled' out by ground crew before the pics were taken and after all paxs evacuated safely!!

  6. I agree with Capt Radzi- smells like a set up.
  7. Noted Bro. Thanks. Surely there must be someone more powerful behind them because the company has to have serious security backing for a RM300 million loan. And if they are not taking a RM300 million loan, then Datuk R Menon is solid financially.
  8. Oh dear, oh dear!!! Classic case of trying to overdo, should have kept it simple then there'll be less tendency for mistakes. I would love to help them to proof read for free!!!!
  9. Anybody has any idea who's the real guy behind Subang Skypark?
  10. I wonder who's behind Subang Skypark? They've certainly got a solid financier backing them up.
  11. Tq Meor. Lovely. Enjoyed them.
  12. Lovely. Tq Meor. Looking forward to the pics.
  13. Btw, anyone have the latest on Meor's assignment on the Hajj Charter? Have the pics been uploaded or did I miss them? Cheers.
  14. I was under the impression that the Govt allowed FF to operate from SZB and in return gave rights to Air Asia to fly to Singapore!!! Perhaps this is not the case if TF is talking in this manner. Air Asia is really stretching their luck!!! On face value, AirAsia has achieved something amazing but to go on like this one starts to wonder if all the news we get are just canvassing??
  15. This is getting very interesting!!! I wonder if these are really accidents or human induced?? I wonder too if they covered up mishaps previously? Is this Boeing's way of getting back at Airbus by pushing these accidents news to the media?
  16. Meor, U go bro, I can't wait for the excellent photos.
  17. Even a model toilet momento is available by Mas Charter - Capt Nik u really give attention to small details.Kudos!!
  18. Those in the trading and financial circles are talking about an economic slowdown in Dubai, but the question is when? However, it is clear that strategically Dubai (UAE) needs to make money from other industries such as the service sector as oil money begins to dwindle, hence we see Emirates taking a large position on purchasing aircrafts at a mind boggling rate and going head to head with SQ. I personally think the bubble will burst but I hope China and India will be able to absorb the burst because otherwise it might cause a global slowdown. The US economy is fragile at this point with the sub prime mortgage sector causing havoc to the financial sectors. And I don't think we can rely on the US anymore to absorb. I just hope there weren't too much Arab money involved in the sub prime market meltdown that it might cause a knock on effect on the Gulf states. But who really knows???
  19. Way to go MAS Charter!!! With anything, if u put your heart and attention to details, the rewards will come naturally insyaALLAH.
  20. All the best Brader Maarof, Semoga dapat Haji yang Mabrur, insyaALLAH. went for Hajj in 2005 - it was an incredible and extremely sacred journey for me from beginning to end. Accompanied my mum and wow was it challenging!! It's true what many say that expect the unexpected during Hajj. I can stress enough that your thoughts must be pure all the time during Hajj. I experienced twice when I had some doubts and true enuf things didnt go my way. I want to go again for Hajj or at least Umrah very soon. If only I was back in KL, I would volunteer for Capt Nik to help out with anything during this hajj season!!!!
  21. This is a timeless thread. Thanks Capt Nik. Hope to read more classics and enjoy those lovely pics. My parents would have been frequent travellers in those F27s in the early 70s travelling between Sandakan and KK. I probably flew in them also then, i should imagine in 73/74. But most pics my late father took of me was inside the plane. Alas, we have Capt Nik for pics outside. Thanks Capt Nik.
  22. IJ sure played it safe when replying to u, Hardeep. I'm sure he could have answered all your queries but was probably worried that his email might end up in public forum. So I guess we'll never know their plans!!
  23. In view that Firefly is going to use SZB, does anyone know what Air Asia's reaction is to this? I can't see Tony Fernandes sitting there quietly and let Firefly eat their market share for Penang sector. I think demand for SZB - Penang will be overwhelming.
  24. InsyaALLAH my trip shall be CGK - KUL on 10 Oct 2007 - Lion Air : 699 miles and returning 18 Oct 2007 ( KUL-CGK) Lion Air.
