Keno, Talking about F50 and 1 F/A: depending on the passenger-loads, this is already possible in NL, where the limit was set at 51 , so up to 50 passengers 1 F/A is possible; KLM cityhopper, however, always have 2 F/A's on-board, for safety- and service reasons !!! Anyhow, here are the Fokker F50 routes of KLM cityhopper, just to let you show their stretches and planned block-times: AMS-BRE 1.05 AMS-DUS 0.55 AMS-HAJ 1.15 AMS-CGN 1.10 AMS-MST 0.55 AMS-BRU 0.55 AMS-EIN 0.40 (will be terminated end of this month) AMS-LUX 1.10 AMS-NWI 1.05 AMS-LCY 1.20 RTM-LHR 1.25 RTM-LCY 1.05 Occasionally, F50 will take-over F70/F100 flights with block-times up to 2.30 hrs and will also operate various "long-haul" charters, even into Spain and Portugal (up to 4 hours)

Imran, Give me another suggestion, please -
Azmal, Not sure about the 717, but the Fokker F70 is a good jet replacement for the Fokker F50 when it comes to runway-length (Fokker F100 need a little more runway length, especially the ones with RR 620's)

T K, I could come over to FRA for 1 day and do some spotting with you (it's only a 1 hour flight)... Imran, no fixed dates as yet, but was thinking of some days of the last 2 weeks of March 2006: OK ? -
Fantastic shots, Jonathan, especially the F18 one (although the MIG29 is my favorite fighter aircraft )

S V, nice overview picture of KLIA !!! did you notice the 2 KLM 747's, one passenger- and one freighter-400 ? Kandiah, SPL's LCC terminal now almost finished: indeed NO aerobridges, so stairs only and consequently getting wet and/or snowed when flying EasyJet, Jet2, BMIbaby, Smartwings, SkyEurope and the like
-
S V, nice pictures: would love to come down to N-Z once and do a spotting-run with you as well (via PER and meet Liam)

Kandiah, lot's of new things there, especially for Flight Simmers: you should see that cockpit now - it's based on the 737NG: VERY dangerous to enter that shop and leave empty-handed By the way: they still have that "sales-box" next to the entrance, so, sometimes they have good offers there; lately, I got an aeronautical chart of Eastern Europe/Scandinavia there for 70% less -

TK, When do you fly again to FRA ? We could have a meeting there (or you come to AMS and we can visit the LHS !!! ) -
Boeing 747-300's: Five in service and four in maintenance ??? of those 5 there is 1 grounded at London-Gatwick and 1 at Seoul, or are these grounded aircraft counted as "in maintenance" ? It's bad, but they caused this situation solely by themselves Wonder how the Thai CAA's overview of operation is
-
Mohd, Like said in another topic: it's Ukranian; actually the aircraft factory (Antonov) doing commercial flights to generate income for this facility

S V, Thought I communicated that here: was planning to go along to Malaysia, but then early August my father was hospitalized for a bypass operation of the heart (5 bypasses) and didn't want to be far away, in case something went wrong; luckily, the operation went all well but recuperation is quite slow due to his age (almost 80), so, for the time being the end of October/early November would be fine, provided no personal reasons re-occur So guys, we settle for 31oct-01nov-02nov for a MalaysianWings meet ? -
Norman, Nice crisp-clear shots: thanks for sharing Good to see you've a junior-assistant ; it's never too early to start "aircraft-recognition"

Isn't there a meeting planned the end of November when SV is also in Malaysia ??? lost track of any upcoming M-W meetings, so, please let me know if something has been planned (pending my dad's improving situation, I might come-over for a "meeting") -

From Reuters: MH may hire foreigner as new head

Maybe they can try Pieter Bouw, ex CEO of KLM, who will shortly leave the Swiss-team ? -
Sure, why not; it all depends on their fare-structure(s) and service(s) rendered; one of their strong points was "single aircraft type" a la Southwest and excellent service !!!
-
Chaity, What a beast, don't you agree ? Saw one at PRG last saturday (RA-82078) in Volga-Dniepr colours; it was full-power for 1 minute, before finally rolling and taking-off: just loved the sound Guys, Lists of recent visits/highlights of Warsaw, Budapest and Prague to be published in the correct section

TK, you took this on 30JUL, however, I was mentioning 31JUL and 01aug in my previous messages Anyhow, KLM shifted again some registrations, so, here's the latest update for you guys (all dates KUL dates - not AMS departure dates): 31jul - PH-BFT (changed from BFK, which returned back to gate and aircraft-swap) 01aug - PH-BFK 02aug - PH-BFS 03aug - PH-BFB (full pax version !!!) as you can see BFL not with AF-KL logo; only BFU and BFY sofar it's easy recognizable for the name appears in white ABOVE the pax-windows (nose-section)
