  2. ... yeah and knowing them ; don't sell the "middle seat" at one of the cabins and you've got yourself Business Class / Econnomy+ ; good to put govenrment offices on duty travel!.... hey ... after all is about maximising profits and make money = Low Cost Value Carrier.

If MH is proud to their Skytrax rating; then they should specifically looked into the Best Airline Category at least in detailed ( not to mentioned other detailed categories) ..... which clearly reflects that they have dropped to 9th place this time from 6th previously....mind u they used to be in top 5 most of the time ( circa. 1992 - 2003). So, nothing to be boosting around.... but they should see it as an increased dissatifaction of MH service and others have better products and services. As said several times by me and others.... wake up MAS! Do something much better! We know u can. Having best crew is good but their commitment will be affected severly when supporting hardware and facilities are below par!
  4. Although MH has recaptured the "usual award" ; overall, if one sees other details and categories, MH is now far behind then others and has dropped considerabily. One fine example, just look at the present ranking of Best Overall Ranking of MH this year and compare them with last year. ... Not forgetting 10 - 15 years ago ... MH used to be top 3 in First Class and Business Class and top 5 in Economy. My dear MH management ... better wake up and do something .

As a regular MH full paying business passenger; It better be true! .... indeed amongst my business circle; the number of businessmen leaving MH for another carrier ( for Business and Leisure) is increasing... and I'm one of them that seriously thinking of doing the same. To All MH Management reading this..... better take action!

  7. Alternatively, market them with the first few rows as "economy plus"; add some frills like more flexibility , lounge access, better food and more enrich miles.

  9. Improve product offerings ASAP ! Compare with SQ / CX / EK / EY .... as they are your most direct competitor ; no point of comparing European / American carriers. Just like Proton must be comparable to Toyota / Honda / Kia in Malaysia - ASEAN region.... not GM/ Chysler / Lincoln that are being sold in the states!
  10. IMHO, a good pat in the back for a service industry CEO's ( including Airlines and Hotels) would be the Abilitiy to have an excellent product whilist making good finanncial returns ... yes it is not easy !; Good P&L , with compromised standards does not deserve a star.
  11. I disagee with IJ's statement; Toyota is a brand that is consistently being enriched ( with increasing superior products @ more affordable prices ) to... sooner or later be a BMW or Mercedes. I think our MH is something worse then a proton ; even SKoda is far better thesedays! :-( big dissapointment !
  12. Lack of consistency perhaps? MH 332 & MH 333 are also similar IMHO, the "Malaysia" titles does not looked proportionately right either. They've should have been consistent like the ones of MH 772 , MH D10 and MH AB3 - where "malaysia" title was placed between exit 2 and 3.

  14. Please note that I have never justified that stealing is okay. And for some people , paying extra is not just merely getting from one point to another; but to ensure that the journey itself is part and parcel of the holiday / business ! ; Even if an aircraft is downgraded for any reasons or whatsoever, some token of compensation by means of Frequent Flyer Points or vouchers would be more appreciated. After all, it's about preserving values and duty of care as contractually entrusted.
  15. Totally agreed. But ; charging excessive fares and surcharges whilist reducing product offerings is " C H E A T I N G" ! Including: - Local business fares are up and meals reduced from hot savories to just cold sandwiches; Downgrading from 772 / 744 flights to A332 / A333 ; happened to me on Club ticket! The club seats differs tremendously!; Doesn't the above are similar to "stealing" from passengers?
  16. The increase would most likely to pay for the new airbuses ; I don't think is for the fuel.
  17. Y WASTE MONEY ? Y not just "code share" with other carriers? After all no difference in service, cargoes do not need meal, no need to worry about meal service; unlike the pax. business. IN this case, code share in cargo services is more practical rather than the pax., service.
  18. Will we see MH taking doing something similar. Perhaps RM 200 every hour plus 500 enrich miles every hour ? not forgetting business class pax at least 2x's more.......
  19. It's simple, yield to KUL is very low that it is not worth flying in. These flights may be full, but the revenue per km is not good enough to justify that it can sustain and compete with other routes within JQ/QF network. Similar to MAN routes from our region that was previously operated by MH, CX ( late 1990s) and QF ( once before). Another fine example LHR - KUL by BA, loads extremely good , but yield was really low. Not forgetting the operating cost of these carriers may be high and normally the asian carriers would have better operating cost per km.
  20. Possible, thrice weekly with 738 flights via somewhere in India. Don't forget those snackboxes as inflight meals and operated by just 3 cabin crew -- a definate low cost value carrier !
  21. Even the payments are in stages, the fact remains that there will be an outflow of USD 1.2 billion from our malaysian coffers.
  22. Assuming each of those whale will cost us malaysians USD 200 million ( inclusive interior) ; This would simply equates to USD 1.2 billion out of Malaysian Circulation within eight months ! Our economy would be in deficit for eight months, unless there's a sudden boom for Malaysian products and services in the International Market. Unless some are on Sale and Leaseback like SQ does.
  23. NOT forgetting increasing fares and compromising the meal service. Not just in EYCL, even in the premium GCCL are now being served with just cold sandwiches instead of the hot savories for Peninsular Flights. ; Golden Lounge @ JHB has been shut and yet we are still paying the same fare. Common have some sense! Business travellers do travel busineess class for the service in the air and on the ground ; definately not to Sedekah MH!
