  1. not that close, roughly around 220-240 m from runway. go check goggle earth, look for Weather Station next to runway 14R-32L.
  2. they're too busy with other duties such as squabbling over whose jurisdiction this and that area should falls to. some might still be having a nice glass of teh tarik or KOPI in cowboy town, thus not enough time and personnel to lock down all the exits.
  3. don't have any idea whether its safe to spot or not. i guess its safe, tight security so there's no possibility of getting rob or shoot by robbers. as for spotters, i did went for a short spotting last Friday and the 'BEREDAR' guys passed by but they didn't chase me away.
  4. well, lets see how long this step-up security measures going to last. i'll give em 1 month..anybody want to bet?
  5. they're robots bro, whatever the big boss says, they follow. the boss say, chase away anybody hanging around the perimeter, they'll do it without hesitate. but when there're robbers around, they just go away for coffea break and thus switch off the CCTV (well, the CCTV wasn't even working at all, for that matter). personally, from the head of security to the men on the ground, they're all very inexperience (but they do claim they're the best in the business) and don't even know how to maintain security around such a big area. the biggest problem they have is that they still can't think, evaluate and differenciate between a treat and a non-treat situation. on top of that, they can't even think of a worst case scenario which might happen and how to act promptly to suppress the threat. makes me wonder, do they have any plan to be put into use when there's an actual threat occurring in KLIA? do they have any coordination with the other enforcement agencies if there's an incident happening? and what about counter measures? there're tonnes of scenario that could and might happen in the future and one must wonder, what are the reactions from MAHB about it?
  6. wuuuhuuuuu...great shots guys...
  7. just as Khaled had mention, all the wrong security measures at the wrong place.
  8. this TF sure is very ambitious, he wants all major airport in Bolehland to have LCCT. maybe he should proposed to the Gahmen another LCCT in Miri, Kuala Terenganu, Kuantan, Labuan, Ipoh and maybe in Bario (that should be a good idea). for this, he kept on hassling MAHB and the Gahmen to build him those LCCT or else he start to threaten the Gahmen for not supporting the people. in his so call 'helping the people to travel by air', he's actually killing the people by using their tax money to build all this LCCT and on top of that charging 'cheap' airport tax on pax.
  9. it seems that the minister and MAHB and the PDRM are all confused as to which area's under who's jurisdiction. while they're at it, the robbers are laughing all the way to who-knows-where with their 'hard-earned' cash (very smart robbers, they rob then causing confusion among the authorities as to who's jurisdiction the crime scene belongs to). typical Bolehland mentality, expert at finger pointing and giving 1001 excuses.
  10. simple, there're plenty of land surrounding KIA, one good place to start with, the RMAF base.
  11. i believed it was more like ...50 dispensed bullets rather than .50 cal bullet. carrying and firing a .50 cal gun is not a problem, getting it into the country might be a problem. there's a .50 cal hand-gun..Desert Eagle (Israel), Magnum, Remington..those are favourite heavy cal hand-gun. ohh and sub-machine gun..the most would be around 9mm.
  12. just as expected. when ever there's an incident in KLIA, the first to feel the heat would be us spotters. what to do, those guys only doing as they're ordered to do without question (boss order jump to the sea, they jump too).
  13. if no policemen could deterred them, might as well don't station any policemen in and around KLIA. that is why, the police along with MAHB, should and must station a well trained, well equipped personnel in and around KLIA just to prevent such case from happening (other airports around the world does, why can't we?). if the robbers are determined enough to rob, the police too must be even more determined to counter such treat. to track them later is not an easy job and it might take months or even years. that's a lot of bullets being shot around and a few people got shot..that doesn't make sense does it? where does the majority of the bullets went to? 5 people injured and 50 bullets fired...hmmm....
  14. i believed when there's a huge sum of money being transport around, it is a must to have a heavy escorts (especially from the police, be it GOF, VAT 69 or whatever unit they have). to rely solely on the private security firm is just not enough as the 'tools' which they have aren't sufficient (pump-gun, revolver vs semi-auto weaponry) and on top of that most of the personnels are over the age of 55. with very minimal protection that they have, its only an invitation for those potential arm robbers to pounce on. as for security in KLIA, well its high time that MAHB re-look at their security requirement (personnel, special unit) and SOP. this latest arm robbery in KLIA won't be the last and it will happen again in the future. the next time it happen, the robbers might not run away with a get-away car, instead they might run away with a plane along with hundreds of passengers as hostage (some might say this is ridiculous tactics but Al-Qaeda smacked a metal bird into WTC too is a ridiculous tactics).
  15. Aiyakkk Han...long time no see your nose shots, nose bleeding already oooo....so tajam (sharp)...
  16. another record Malaysian should be proud of. after all, this is BOLEHLAND, where nothing is impossible.
  17. Caution to all spotters, the BEREDAR gang will be on high alert (just as what happen last time, the Osama's debacle).
  18. one interesting fact is, how can a 'small knife' pass through security check without being confiscated by the security personnel?
