LND is definitely still without IFE installed. The probable reason why its been spotted doing TRV and TRZ lately is that unlike LNC, LND is an EDTO certified and equipped aircraft. Won't be surprised to see it going in for IFE installation in near future too (assuming LNC had its IFE installation done during the last ground time in SZB)
-
Someone may possibly be right about IFE installation on LNC. The NO IFE remarks have been removed from dispatch documents for this aircraft. Now we just need a confirmation from anyone who gets onboard the aircraft.
-
This article is quite accurate. It was a surprise how much more efficient the aircraft is. Approximately 20% less fuel burn in cruise as compared to the NG for the same payload. Even at lower levels, fuel consumption was incredibly low.

For years we have heard his insights and comments (very jovial ones) here on mwings. Thanks for the good times, Uncle Pieter. Never got to meet him in person but definitely have enjoyed our encounters online.

In the case of Malindo, its hardly a question of "penchant for prestige". Decisions made are usually from the group level, i.e. Lion. Malindo's job is to execute, with little room to say no or yes.
-
News is that it will be maintained as per the current seat pitch. 32 inches generally, and 31 inches at certain rows where design requirements don't permit 32 inches.
-
As these frames were originally destined for Lion Thai, they will feature a single class configuration for now. No news yet if a retrofit is planned in future.

SIA A380 plane turns back 20 min after take-off due to engine fault

220 pax on their HKG bound flight seems a little low. Very well handled incident - takes a lot of effort and coordination from the team in the air and the team on the ground to make such service recoveries. Incidents cant be avoided sometimes, its how you handle them that makes all the difference to your customers -
MAS A380 - Fleet to be Retained

wow, it bothers some people that much when even we MH pilots ourselves put our hands out to congratulate and wish the flight crew all the best on their inaugural journey without thinking if they're Malays, Chinese or Indians.. all we know is that they're MH pilots and frankly, thats all that matters to us. -

Andreas, what about those who hold a CPL licence, and rated on other types of single engine aircrafts, but does not have a rating on the Piper Warrior. How many hours do we have to fly with an instructor to get the rating? -

BLR flight departing at 12:35 PM? Typo perhaps? And the pax finally travelled on another flight at 7pm ? Something doesn't sound right with this article.
