  1. Same here. During me last trip to China with MAS I found their mandarin sounds different as in it does not sound the same way that we speak in Malaysia.
  2. Speaking of AirNZ, I haven't seen many photos of their new 777. What's the bet the 777 is flying somewhere in Australia showing it off to their kangaroo neighbour.
  3. Gavin, just posts your photos here. All of us here are only too happy to see more photos taken by anyone. Maybe one day we could even start a photo gallery to complement MW where anyone in the forums can add photos to share. And no rejections.
  4. Hmmm...the wallabies shaved the kangaroo's eyebrows off.
  5. Watched it a while ago but it's still funny to watch it. Too bad there is no English version of it. Maybe after watching the video it will bring a whole new side of things for FS? Drag racing and doing donuts with 747!
  6. TK, you mentioned that on the Airbus (presume same on 777), when you move the stick to the right, the plane turns right but when the stick returned to neutral position the plane continues turning. So does this mean you have to move the stick left to stop the plane turning? Also how do you control how sharp you want to turn? Thanks.
  7. Thanks very much for the exclusive photos TK. Always nice to see the rare photos taken by you of the 777.
  8. Very cool shots there Azahan. Thanks for sharing them. Not only do photography at night looks good but it's also a nice and cool environment to work in. No need to sit under the burning sun during the day.
  9. Brilliant shots there KHOR. Kind of want to go to LAX for another holiday. It's always nice at KLAX where there are lots of actions.
  10. Here are some photos of Singapore Airlines' first A380. So far only with the tail in SQ livery. In my opinion it looks much better with an airline livery. Can't wait for MH livery on A380. SQ 1 SQ 2 SQ 3
  11. Wow! Never before have I seen such a clean B737 in MH colours. And the winglet just made it more beautiful! Thanks for sharing.
  12. Brilliant shot there David! Many thanks for sharing with us. Got anymore?
  13. Very nice photos Sing Yew. Thanks for sharing them. Just curious, what's the reason behind why the MH 772 the aerobridges was withdrawn and the staircase used? Something wrong with them? Looking forward to more photos!
  14. Well, look at it this way, our Petronas Twin Tower is still the tallest 'twin' in the world. In terms of office building it was over taken by Taipei 101. Let's face it, everyone in the world have hunger for tallest (biggest) this and that. Come to think of it....maybe one day someone will come up with something so tall we can just take the elevator to space?
  15. As far as I remember they have stopped the trans-tasman service to BNE. This is because of low load and is hard competing against number of other airlines. All are now direct KUL-AKL with both B747 and B777. You can check it at Malaysia Airlines website.
  16. Hmmm...that's the first one I've seen where they put the sign into the photo itself. Somewhat ruins a nice photo if you asks me... I don't really like it either.
  17. Just watched the landing on the news. Spectacular landing I must say. The pilots even managed to keep the aircraft dead centre on the runway. Well done to those pilots for a job well done.
  18. The stripes looks a bit weird. But overall I think it still looks great!
  19. You're right Capt. Since the NZ govt decided to scrap the remaining Skyhawks a few years ago, now all that are left are a few Hercules and 757. Before you know it, one of the Hercules or 757 will be stuck on foreign soil with technical problems... And Chapfun, great shots too!
  20. Great shots, Jonathan! I would've expected the Migs to be louder than the F-18s. No doubt a great day spotting. Any more ah?
  21. Here are some mock up cockpit for B787. Those displays are surely huge! Boeing News View 1 View 2
  22. I remember previously that a number of ex-SQ B744 went to other carriers like CX? CX seems to be obsessed at one stage getting a large amount of second hand B744. I also remember seeing a photo in A.net indicating an ex-SQ B744 going back to Boeing to be converted into a freighter? Sad to see SQ B744 go no doubt. Hope MAS will keep theirs for a while. I mean, nothing beats the look of the queen of skies. CX Ex-SQ Leased to Boeing
  23. If you want to post images/screenshots here, you first need to register at one of the free image hosts like PhotoBucket. There you can upload the pictures from your computer. Once uploaded, underneath the picture you've uploaded, there is a URL link. Copy that link and back in MW's reply window, there is a button labelled 'IMG'. Click that button and paste the URL you've just copied and that's it. To make sure you've done it correctly, click Preview Post. If all goes well, your picture will load up. Looking forward to your screenies.
  24. LoL!!!! So that's the pilots' version of IFE! AVOD too, I might add!
  25. I've never seen nor heard them in real life before. The only military jets I've seen is Skyhawks....that is before RNZAF decided to scrap them. Now all they have are a few Hercules and 'secondhand' 757. Pretty pathetic for an airforce if you ask me.
