This may sound trivial but how actually do we define delayed flight? Is it only confined to ETD delay? or just ETA? or both ETD and ETA must be delayed then considered the flight is delayed? To make it clear If a flight is delayed from ETD but arrived on time as ETA, is it still considered a delayed flight? or A flight departed on time as ETD but arrived late from ETA, will it be considered on time flight? If both the above question is a delayed flight, So when a flight delayed both from ETD and ETA, is it mean the flight have a double delay? And by International standard If I am not mistaken a flight will only considered delay if there is more than 15 minutes deviation from Estimated Time. is it true? *ETD= Estimated Time of Departures *ETA = Estimated Time of Arrivals

even if you are outsourcing...How come an unplanned maintenance period arise... It's not like the maintenance people call the aircraft at will. And I thought there's a contract for airplane maintenance. If true MAS Engineering purposely call for an unnecessary maintenance or purposely extended maintenance period, I believed it's a breach of contract which FAX can bring it to courts. Why dont they? But how could be an unplanned maintenance period? The unplanned period must be due to the way they handle the aircraft. Like MH B777 suddenly grounded at Frankfurt is due to baggage handler accidentally hit its engine Well, For everybody else too. Only money mattered. It called capitalism. Live with it.

One time for my pray, the F/A was asking the pilot himself in the galley about the direction of Mecca, which in turn the pilot phone the cockpit (I think) to get the direction. I think for a long haul and overnights flights, there are two set of Captain and First Officer. So I think the one that's walk around is the one whose not on duty.
