MAS to be asked to resume flights to Cairo
Jessnor Arif replied to Andrew K's topic in General Aviation
and here i though student always avoid MH due to its high fare (although I relentlessly promoting MH to my peers.) My friend here in germany even fly with egyptair. And we malaysian student in continental west europe (france and germany) receive among the highest monthly allowance as compare to other PSD sponsored student. Why it has to be MH? MH holds advantage here in germany because its the fastest way home since it offer direct flight FRA-KUL. But from CAI.... there always egyptair. -
Dewan Rakyat: AirAsia owes MAHB RM100mil
Jessnor Arif replied to H Azmal's topic in General Aviation
Being 61 years in aviation business is not a reason why Government can't treat AK like MH. MH has to do a lot of thing according to government wish masquerading as social service let alone flying government official everywhere regardless the profitablitiy. Apparently Stockholm Newark and Buenos Aires. but AK can even do RAS properly. If I was the Minister of Transport that is as fair as it could get. Fair is not mean equally treatment. It means to put thing right where they belong. an analogy i have 4 slice of bread to give to 2 person. 1 person is skinny who needs only one bread the other is fat who need three breads. It is not fair to give them equally 2 slices each. but it is only fair to give 1 to the skinny, and 3 to the fat one. -

Firefly To Have More Destinations From November
Jessnor Arif replied to Naim's topic in General Aviation
Would MH will also follow the suit to increase baggage allowance to 25 or 30kg? Keep on dreaming!!!.. -
For me, I question the source. Simply because it's a mysterious source. Since it's mysterious it falls into category: Just a mere rumors. Unless they come up with ERLSB yearly financial statement proving just that.... then I believe it. If you want to blow a whistle and then blow it hard and show your irrefutable evidence. If it is the truth then take full responsibility and prepare for the consequences. The truth will prevail. Don't just go to media, sensationalized the issue, and yet remained anonymous. The source is more important that the report. Just like the article on Universiti Utara Malaysia Vice Chancellor in which he was blame for plagiarism. Apparently it has became a trend in Malaysia to believe anything without any reliable proof.

Rumours that MAS is abolishing the allowance to cabin crew
Jessnor Arif replied to Kenneth T's topic in General Aviation
hmm hourly pays actually a step back in productivity sense. It doesn't encourage employee to strive further to gain for more. Let say the for the 1 hour I suppose to serve 45 customer. If the pay is fixed to hourly base, it doesn't matter whether I serve 50, or 60 customer because i will get the same pay. So employee wont strive to serve more customer because the pay is the same. A good company should have their own productivity gauge. and rewards should be base on this productivity gauge. Example for what MH had done previously, will be collecting extra baggage fee. Employee who collect the most were rewarded. As a result (MH tighten their baggages rule) revenue from this been escalating and helps the company turnaround even if it is maybe just 1% of the company revenue but it is revenue nonetheless. Given IJ track record, I believe he wont do this. But who knows... -
On the contrary I have never experienced any of the impoliteness of any Immigration or Customs Staff, at KLIA or at JHB. Although maybe cause i use them like 4 times a year huhu.

Air Berlin A330-300s to Subang (maintenance)
Jessnor Arif replied to Tamon's topic in General Aviation
Why would Air Berlin send their A330 half way around the globe for checks? Is it really really really cheaper rather than doing at Berlin or Frankfurt? The cost should be Maintainance Cost + empty flight DUS-SZB & SZB-DUS + airspace fees. I guess that must be closer to MYR300,000 or EUR55,000 per plane. -

MH's Routes Changes in January 2008
Jessnor Arif replied to Mohd Azizul Ramli's topic in General Aviation
Well Azizul. I've seen it in NWA inflight Magazine. They show all Skyteam carrier destinations and I think they includes its interline destinations cause it shows MH routes too. -
I think if you check in all your way through CGK-NRT.. I think MH70 will be delayed too if there's a delay on your CGK-KUL flight..
