  1. Hmm Seems that initials have taken control of our life hehe.. ILS, VOR,NDB, ALS, DME, TLS, IFR for flight navigation. there DVVT, DOHC, ESP, APS, in automotive and then there MRI, CT-Scan, ALS, MRA, AIDS, SARS, in Medicine p/s: Notice that ALS is used in aviation and medicine, the former is Approach Lighting System the latter is a disease
  2. AMS-KUL bussiness class for MYR1300? are u serious Uncle Pieter? that about EUR300... If that so.. how can i book one?
  3. That make me thinking... How big is MWings server? Can it host MWingers own photos? Just like the A.net or J.photos. Yeah International wise it is better to upload there since the world renown title. But it doesnt kill to have it here. Something of our own.
  4. Probably Frankfurt-Hahn (HHN) not FRA. I wonder if they willing to pay FRA airport taxes, why are they reluctant to pay KUL Satelite Terminal. For LCC it would be best if they fly to DUS or CGN as Uncle Pieter had suggest. They will suffer if they fly to FRA or HHN. Due FRA is a Bussiness & Financial Centre for Germany which i don't think Bussiness people will use their flight since there are LH, MH, SQ, QF, EK,EY. HHN is even worse. Situated 120km from Frankfurt (read:In the middle of nowhere) with a very bad land connections.
  5. mentioning callsign... Is there any Airasia flight 47? cause it would come out at screen as AK 47... how cool is that?
  6. ethnic ticket is for Malaysian who fly MH in Germany. It also offered for some other national who fly their national carrier. but dont remember which national.
  7. I know it's PK flight... but what surprise me.... the livery....I thought it will be in PK colour...never thought it is still in MH colour even with VMY2007
  8. Out of topic...the T7 MH leases to PIA is Romeo Echo right? Surprisingly 9M-MRE still bears MH livery.. even in VMY2007. as spotted here in MAN. note the date Jan 11, 2007. MH dont fly to MAN in 2007 right? so this must be the PIA leased Or is it term of contracts....?
  9. What if suddenly Temasek Holdings bid for AK shares..? and getting controlled like they did in Thai AirAsia.... hmm really interesting to watch whether Mr. Fernandes allows it...
  10. Right... while their shares is as low as MYR0.80 a share now. In future around MYR3 or MYR4 a share. But AK must improve on it's image first.. Meaning improving on ontime flights. increased reliability that is a biggest value added services anybody could ask for.
  11. It's a great tools.... cant believed I just tracked MH94 from the middle of Pacific till landing at LAX exactly on 16:31 LAX local time...thanks for sharing.... this link helps too http://www4.passur.com/lax.html
  12. Then it's a pity that malaysian airlines not starting buying airasia shares.....
  13. But on EK or any other airlines I have to make a transit... with MH i can fly back to malaysia non-stop....time taken is shorter.. departing at noon so that I have time to hang around FRA longer and arriving in KUL at dawn so that i can continue to JHB on the 1st flight out of KUL. I get 30kg baggage for ethnic ticket. It's just great...if can get a MH cheap ticket is a bonus :) another added bonus is very friendly and attentive FAs.
  14. I see that majority picture here in KLIA is at day... how about at night? How hard is it to spot at night? Cause it's when KUL at it's busiest....and with the neon light i think it would be spectacular.. but i stand to be corrected since i'm not a profi photographer...
  15. the welcoming team collage can be made to a postcard.. by MWing.....Its so nice...
  16. So no chance for me to get cheap ticket back to malaysia from FRA in august?
  17. So isnt it wise to lease aircraft just for the holiday season (2 month) if there a justifiable demand rather than owning aircraft and leave it grounded for next 10 month?
  18. I still dont understand how aircraft shortage can be blame for this situation? AFAIK all MH 777 is in use. and MH only lease the 747 and some 737. If every flight is overbooked, so the overbooking is the problem not the aircraft shortage. If it's the common practice in full services aviation. It's not the problem at all. let say a flight is overbooked by 20 people in 777 flight that mean 300 people booked for 280 seats aircraft. Is it wise to deploy the 747 to accomodate the the extra 20 people? meaning using 420 seat aircraft for 300 pax? Furthermore if pax miss a connection due to delay in the prior flight he get priority in next flight leave the terminal not the next available i think.and the flight he miss will be empty. so the overbooked pax is coming handy in this case. You dont call the original pax in next flight to come to make early flight due to some bloke miss connection. So assume all flight is fully booked. It mean the next flight become further overbooked maybe 40 instead of 20. So when it comes like this situation, a good airlines will book the passenger on a different airlines, possibly partner airlines to accomodate this people.
  19. And you have to remember... This is malaysia where price precede the quality. That's why pirated CD sells like "Pisang Goreng"(Fried banana). The fastest way to success in malaysia market: 5* services for 2* prices.(1*=cheap 5*=expensive ) that is what MH trying to do.
  20. Does it really matter? So far I am not paying any tax since i am not yet working and dont have any properties. but my parent did. so does my sibling. not counting my aunt, my uncle my cousins and all. by protecting MH I mean by deciding aviation matter always in favour of MH. Not pushing MH in a corner. If not the govt should let MH do what it want. Right know AKX is given non MH routes. nxt 5 years? when both airlines is expanding...it will indeed force MH to compete with AKX instead of competing with the like of QR, or SQ. Remember malaysia air market is not as large as in europe or in US. or in Japan
  21. I just wonder how will MH react to this news? I really dont mind if Govt really protect MH simply because MH is Malaysian Flag carrier in Aviation industry. Some time what i see gov is too keen in airasia and some of it's decision might kill MH. Malaysian air market is not as big as in the US or in Europe. and the Govt should play preference to MH regardless what other airlines says. With this much opportunity for Airasia wonder why Tony still fret on govt protecting MH. Should let AKX fly KUL ARN KUL since MH want to drop it!! Here's the thing i dont get.. many ADUN and MP from sabah and sarawak (possibly "speaking on behalf of citizen") keep complaining on FAX services and want MH back. So even domestically FAX is not that satisfying.. how would they operate long haul?
  22. hmm a simple google work... can get the answer straight forward...
