Launching ceremony is schedule today at 1430LT.. :D Enjoy guys, as I do..

Mohd Idham 0 Report post Posted July 26, 2006 Thanks guys.. Mr. Norman, its correct. We bought it somewhere around Sg. Buloh, and assemble it at SZB airport. We got the C of A now, can fly it anywhere. This helicopter has 30 flying hours completed already, need another 20.. What I know about the specs;, 280km range, 2hrs flight duration, 150km/h speed..dunno about the altitude.. Azmal, why? didn't like it ehh..enjoy la.. The pictures from the demo flight.. Sorry, I didn't take too many pictures, just shooting a video from my el-cheapo compact digicam.. A lot lot of video, my 1GB memory card almost full.. Guess who's the pilot..?? on the right is the test pilot, on left side is the future test pilot for A380..

Mohd Idham 0 Report post Posted July 26, 2006 Heh heh... Gavin, did you receive anything from me yet..? The plan? Guys, UTM will plan next time to buy another one light helicopter, it is a Robinson R44 - 4 seater helicopter.. and a flight simulator, ( not FS9 ok ).. So, for those SPM leaver, put UTM inside your first choice of your next high educations...

Norman 1 Report post Posted July 27, 2006 How come there is no registration? Yeah... me wondering too.. How they "fly" it to Skudai from SZB? I don't think you can use the JPJ's "blue plate", can you? BTW... the test-pilot looks familiar... met him before, but can't recall The chopper's service ceiling is quoted at 10,000'
Mohd Idham 0 Report post Posted July 27, 2006 They bring it here with Low-loader trailer... Yup, the ceiling is 10,000'..talk to my Proffesor that handling this project.. why 10,000' ? because its not pressurise..

Teoh Z Yao 0 Report post Posted July 27, 2006 Hey, congratulations there for the production of a chopper! Fly to UM one day soon, and be sure to get me exclusive pass so I can take a closer look at it ya... Yeah, I'm serius; come to UM one day and let me be informed (no demand for an exclusive treatment, though ). I wonder when USM Transkrian is going to come up with their own chopper or, for that matter, a remote control a/c. If they do come up with their stuff, most probably construction of the promised airstrip will come in no time!
