Radzi,

Come on, it's not that bad lar. Both Nikon and Canon are good, it only depends on your own preference, right? Just like BMW vs Mercedes, both are excellent.

Yup....Olympus...

Imran,

At first i also consider Olympus E300, but after seeing my friend's photos from the E300, i give on it. The image quality is really an issue.

What a coincidence eh...

The S304 has really slow shutter speed and i cannot find a way to speed it up.

Thus I think it's a terrible camera for aircraft photography, unless your snapping at static ones.

The picture quality is pretty good though.

Andrew,

That's my opinion as well: keep on moving with the "subject" even after pressing...tele abilities are quite good as well :)

Love the light weight of the camera and the long lasting batteries !

Excellent camera for "fixed" holiday pictures, however, now saving for a D70 :D

Don't any of you misses the good old days of film? Sometimes I'm pretty darn near to purchase that old NikonF3 with just a simple 50mm lens and load it with Fuji Velvia 50. Because that was how i started photography, with my uncle's F3 with 50mm lens and slide film and a walkaround KL. And I'm still amazed at the photos I produced. On a side note, the Canon AE1 is also an excellent one.

Yeah Fitri,

I still remember the AE1... tucked somewhere in my mom's place

Failed shutter...sob...sob...

And using film... you're not so crazy at pressing the shutter

and let shlep..whirr..shlep..whirr..shlep..whirr..

Remember the motordrive...?

now on digicam they call battery-grip ...

Of course I still remember my Minolta X-700 with the 50 1.7, Vivitar 24mm 2.0 and of course my old trusty 100-300 5.6 Minolta MD.

And then the Maxxum 9000 with 28-85, 70-210, 50 1.7 and 135 2.8.... lost in a flash flood in Sungai Buloh 10 years ago.

I'm not a digital convert yet, but rely on my Sony TRV33E Handycam 1MP :( still photo mode for any digital needs.

My main camera is the Nikon F3 + MD-4. Shoots like a machine gun, but ohh...so heavy!

At about 50 sen per shot, that is a fast way of spending money.

True :( But I try not to be too generous releasing the shutter release. It took me years building my small kit and it would be a waste to let it idle away, and too 'sayang' to sell off. I have the 24mm 2.8, 28mm 2.8, 50mm 1.4 and 80~200 4.0., some of them legendary optics during their time.

I'm not very happy with the current new digital prints as they do not do justice to the resolving power of the lenses. Photo labs using older analog machines are slowly fading away. So I continue shooting slides, with the occasional print film.
