Keith T 2 Report post Posted May 20, 2007 (edited) Will be QF Someone's coming downunder? Or are you just flying QF to LHR? You sure that is wise ? They're not all bad! There's SAA which I hear good things about, and ComAir which is a BA franchise. And quite a few others which are supposed to be decent but their names escape me now. Keith T 2 Report post Posted May 20, 2007 (edited) ET, KQ - I know there are rumours that oneworld is trying to get one of them but I can't remember which one now. Could even be Angola. Their products look quite good from pics - easily better than any of the US carriers, then again that's not hard. Keith, Jessnor, Seth & Ewan, Tell me more about your KL experiences Umm... you know there's a reason why I avoid SkyTeam don't you... Actually it's a combination of KL, AF, AZ and DL. Most of all - AZ - there's virtually no difference between them and LCC! I've not tried Northwest yet but my friends call them 'NorthWorst.' CO was nice though. Anyway, if you read my TR of TG MEL-BKK on 1DEC (under Summer Trip 1), pretend I'm talking about KLM, remove the PTV and the good food (although the Dutch cheese is good - and no this is not an attack on Dutch food - very clear difference between KLM food and Dutch cuisine) - and along with the lost bag, include a misconnect with staff that can't be bothered....that about sums up my last experience with them. Only saving grace was I misconnected in AMS, a nice city and not some random airport in the middle of nowhere. The experiences b4 weren't pleasant either, both Y and J. Sorry for the completely negative assessment but you asked for my opinion. Soon to go to Australia........... When are you coming downunder? Keith T 2 Report post Posted May 20, 2007 (edited) Hope, your BCN-AMS trip will be a reverse of your KLM experience(s) before FCO-AMS too. But seeing that it's intraEU... not too hopeful. Haven't come across an airline that's actually nice on those sectors yet, except SQ ZRH-MAN... Hence can't wait to check out MA since it;s the only one I've heard good things about intraEU. Hopefully I'll be able to price the flights (FCO-AMS-BCN with stopover in AMS for EUR130) out at the same level when I actually book them. Or AZ might not even exist by the time I get to Europe, given their financial position. If AZ was the only option I'd rather fly BA via LGW, LX via ZRH or walk!
