Mohd Suhaimi Fariz 2 Report post Posted October 10, 2016 No, you shouldnt see it from MH's view. What if payment has been withheld due to poor record keeping by MH to back up the charges? My point us no qualified pax should be denied access on such backroom issues. I don't think it's an issue with MH - apparently QR had denied MH J pax access to their lounge in LHR while the GL was closed so maybe this is QR's way of throwing a temper tantrum over the EK-MH tie up? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/other-asian-australian-south-pacific-airlines/1791611-flying-mh-november.html

Everything else is speculation of your part and on my part. My point is whatever the reason, MH should take it up with the other carrier and whilst it remains part of OW and there are no changes to the benefits, MH has no valid reason to restrict entry. Craig 0 Report post Posted October 10, 2016 Thanks for the replies guys. Since they booked through an agent, probably easier for them to complain to the agent who can bring it up to QR. Agent would have no idea what you/your parents are talking about. They are responsible for your ticket until departure, not for lounge access etc. I don't think it's an issue with MH - apparently QR had denied MH J pax access to their lounge in LHR while the GL was closed so maybe this is QR's way of throwing a temper tantrum over the EK-MH tie up? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/other-asian-australian-south-pacific-airlines/1791611-flying-mh-november.html I think that's more of a misunderstanding of the rules. Quote from OW QR Lounge "Premium Lounge at London Heathrow is available for eligible customers travelling on Qatar Airways or any oneworld flights in First and Business cabin class only." Qr premium lounge at t4 lhr is not opened to ow even qr ey pax with ow sapphire card. OW Y pax are not allowed into the QR LHR Premium Lounge, but a OW premium pax is definitely eligible to enter the QR premium lounge (in this case the only other OW carrier at T4 is MH). Understand mh charge ul us$45 and us$60 for use of j and f class lounge respectively. Believe because of this high charges, ow airline like qr is using ppl. It's actually not that high. SYD/MEL/HKG is much higher but yet QR allows their pax to use QF/CX lounge respectively.
