Sri Ramani K. 0 Report post Posted November 24, 2006 sorry i really couldn't make it today, or to say i made it halfway. SKS (seremban-kl-seremban) bus broke down in nilai, heavy downpour, waited almost 1hr 30mins for a replacement bus to arrive + traffic = reached kl at 4.30. too late to do anything by then. i guess i can still feel like i'm there by looking at the photos.. So sorry to hear about your 'unfortunate' event Ramani.... And also am really sorry for not replying your sms... Was caught with something... met so many old friends there... and also taking so many photos, to capture the moment... Hope to see you tomorrow... Today, I met many MWingers for the first time, Sanjay, Benjamin, Mahathir, Saufi (who else.... sorry I can't recall ... so many of you guys... ) And as Radzi mentioned... our booth was really a hit, Gavin & the gang couldn't get 'time-off' since visitors stream in non-stop... and that's only Friday... Wait till Saturday when words get around abouth the carnival... Well to share some of the moments... Radzi & I was waiting for the DPM in the main foyer where the official ceremony to be held... both of us (& Mahathir) represents MW for the ceremony... Some of those who waited for him as well... from Iggy Land.. Close-up... The Dep Prime Minister of Malaysia... Giving his speech & the Government support for Sport & General Aviation... & he had to leave early for another appointment in Langkawi... missed visiting all the booths and static displays... More pix later...

Sanjay Thaker 0 Report post Posted November 24, 2006 (edited) Hey guys, had an awesome day today with all you Mwingers....it was great to finally meet everyone...and yes our booth did tremendously well...we had kids trying to land the 737 at KUL and a gal trying to bank the aircraft, cadets trying to have fun and finally realizing that real aircrafts are actually DIFFERENT from simulators..lol..it was a great booth...well set up..congrats to everyone for that..especially Tarmizi for the equipment and everyone else for working hard manning it together.. heres my coverage...sorry for the poorer quality as compared to Uncle Norman as my camera isnt as sophisticated...the rest of the pics shall be up in some time.. Teoh keeping an eye on his flight...while a lil boy tries landing the 737 at KUL One of the little hangars set up at Terminal 3..wonder when was this built coz i didnt see it the last time i came there...bout 4 yrs ago Eurocopter's hangar..notice the build up of clouds which later brought some water of blessing from the sky.. meanwhile..little boy still tries to look for the airport... And our DPM comes by for a speech in support for the aviation clubs.. The Fire Dept making a presence... And the Police Dept had to be present as well..cant lose out to those firemen right.. "The people who looked like space astronauts from far"..i qoute, Gavin Little piper put up a good show too.. Old looking but good to go.. Thats all for now guys..i'll get back with more soon... Norman 1 Report post Posted November 24, 2006 Lawrence... I like your photography... Sanjay... whoaa... thanks for sharing... Yeah... just look at the crowd in our booth here... and look at her expression, trying to nail the piano keys... BTW.. Sanjay... that's a Jabiru, not Piper... a home-built flew-in all the way from Jakarta.. The 'Old Looking' BravoDeltaXRay (RSFC) being marshalled in... And Radzi interested to try this Zodiac, a change from flying the jets... btw... Maniselvan (Mwingers, FI of ESBFC) on the wing, Isaac Cristie (MWinger as well) and En Raffick... the ESBFC Owner... --
