Chaity 1 Report post Posted July 29, 2006 Raj, I think I got 1 C130 doing some touch and go test for a few times. As for the rest of the evening, very quiet and could see only some small planes from the flying school/club. At about 4:10PM. It started drizzling and decided to call it a day. On my way back passing by Terminal 3, saw the IL-62M getting ready with the beacon light blinking. A few policemen were directing traffic there. Later I saw a convoy with a Merc bearing the Russia flag. I went all the way to the round-about and headed back to the same spot. I would say it was well worth it to get these shots. Fact to face with this Russian... Turning into the runway Lining up... Slow take off with the SZB tower behind

Pieter C. 5 Report post Posted July 29, 2006 This is really an awesome head-on shot, Chaity Point of note: look at the nose-lights positioned at the white cheatline - although they're not yet switched on, they're 'folded out' already but are at a different 'height' on the fuselage Wonder why this is ??? These engines are BIG; no wonder the plane needs a strut while parked

Just kidding, I have not idea why.

Attan 0 Report post Posted July 29, 2006 Hi Pieter, good for you to point those lights out. Probably the lower for low beam and the higher for high beam ? Just kidding, I have not idea why. Some aircraft have landing lights, taxi lights and runway turnoff lights as well.
Chaity 1 Report post Posted July 29, 2006 goos stuff Chaity. Have to be quite patient there I think. Wonder how old that Berjaya Air is? Your are right Azman. I spent exectly 4 1/2 hours there. As for that Berjaya Air, here's some info from A.Net. "111 Dash 7s were built between 1977 and 1988. Approximately 66 were in commercial service as of late 1998." This plane is with C/N 110. Probably she's 18 years old.

Chaity 1 Report post Posted July 30, 2006 (edited) A few more from my adventure in SZB This was the first plane I got in SZB. Surprisingly, Garuda and not MAS. Samsyuri, it must be here for maintenance, right ? Wonder who was in the plane ? One more TUDM bird I had seen this plane before in Kuching airport in Mac this year. Wonder how many stops before reaching SZB ? These are the photos I have and hope all of you enjoy them ! Edited July 30, 2006 by Chaity

Norman 1 Report post Posted July 30, 2006 Hi Seth, SZB sure offers some surprises comparing to KUL, but the wait there is, Arrghhh! Yes... can vouch for that.. Was at 15 touchdown yesterday... hoping to get the MD11 at 5pm Surprisingly it arrived at 4:30pm, while I was driving to the location Waited till 5:15pm in drizzling rain ... hoping to shoot another Transmile or C130 or whatever... Only TWO! I've for that 45min are ; 9M-BEJ, who made at least 5 T&G in front of me (I lost count ) 9M-BLV... several T&G too until I got fed-up and left... BTW... both from Subang Flying Club

MD11 early by 30 mins, sure good for the airline but not so good for Norman. <_> Norman, I share your pain. A lot of T&G and after a few rounds, just pretend to ignore them.
