Some more eyewitness news for 17jul07, reported by your local CNN correspondent :p :

This nicely painted silver/gold Gulfstream 4 really made my day:

AMS17jul2007002.jpg

Norman, what's the exact type of this one ? It's not a -200 or -350, but what is it then ?

AMS17jul2007003.jpg

If Orange Bravo-Xray is not available, than Orange Sierra-Xray will be made available, hence the orange colours :p :

(sorry for this sign-language):

AMS17jul2007006.jpg

This Falcon from the desert, enjoying the rainy and cool weather of AMS, was a real treat today:

AMS17jul2007008.jpg

more to come in the next few days...

Next installment of your CNN reporter (all taken 18jul07):

Not many of these jets were built, and this one is from Iceland no-less :yahoo: :

AMS18jul2007002.jpg

Always loved the sleek lines of the Learjets; this one is from Belgian, but only sporting the European (and not the Belgian) flag :o :

AMS18jul2007004.jpg

Business-jets from the former communist East-European countries are becoming more common now at AMS; here's a Citationjet from the Czech Republic (apparently Silesia):

AMS18jul2007006.jpg

3 Dutch ladies (100's) resting before put to work again in the afternoon:

AMS18jul2007008.jpg

A new sister (D-CNLA) was delivered yesterday, so enjoy this butt while you can  She will soon be gone from Dutch soil:

Had to work 21jun07 (yes, a saturday :pardon: ), and look what passed my lens during my lunch-break ! :yahoo:

with all the discussions going on about the Nuri, I was very pleased to see this 'grandma' touching her feet again on Schiphol's soil :good: Mind you, she was built in 1971 and flew also with KLM NoordZee Helikopters before, hence the NZ-registration:

AMS21jul2007006.jpg

AMS21jul2007008.jpg

AMS21jul2007010.jpg

Another interesting turbo-prop was this Swiss-made PC-12; just love the silver-red colour combination :pardon: :

AMS21jul2007012.jpg

note also the NW wingletted 757 in this picture ;)

Would like to close this series with a real old guy, the Dakota PH-DDZ, operated by the Dutch Dakota Association, but in the original Martin's Air charter colours, the predesesor of Martinair as shown on the hangar behind:

AMS21jul2007002.jpg

Sorry, no photos today, due to extremely bad weather conditions :(

Hope, you enjoyed them...

Guys,

Some widebody input for today:

This Air Atlanta Icelandic (TF-ARM) has been parked at the technical area for a few days; don't know, due to a technical snag or for planned maintenance with KLM, but nice nevertheless:

AMS24jul2007005.jpg

Showing off proudly, both inside and out, what airline they operate for (PH-KCD and PH-KCF):

AMS24jul2007006.jpg

Good looking three-holer (PH-KCD), resting in between long-haul flights (dedicated to a certain MW member :pardon: ):

note the angle of this shot

comments welcome ;)

Yours truly, "CNN-reporter" was able to note & photograph the following aircraft at Schiphol:

First time for me to see a 8P-Gulfstream :yahoo: :

AMS30jul2007002.jpg

These Arabian "studs" were quite surprises for the Dutch spotting community, unfortunately sporting boring liveries:

AMS30jul2007005.jpg

AMS30jul2007003.jpg

Martinair leased-in this German A320 for the Summer-season; by November 2007 all the 320's will be gone :( :

AMS30jul2007006.jpg

From the Eastern-Mediterranean shores cames this, beloved model by Gibby, Bombardier:

AMS31jul2007001.jpg

Norman, this one is for you :pardon: : resting after some calibration duties at AMS airport:

AMS31jul2007003.jpg

Ever wondered how a GE80 engine looks like from the front ? : HUGE

AMS31jul2007005.jpg

Close-up of the right-hand strut and 6 Michelins of Bravo-Quebec-Alpha:

AMS31jul2007007.jpg

Not a nose-shot a la Azahan, but how about this butt-shot a la Pieter ? :p

AMS31jul2007008.jpg

Close-up of the 'stored' arm  :

AMS01aug2007002.jpg

No doubt, Gibby will have misty eyes now  :

AMS03aug2007005.jpg

This 737-400 was at high power at the bay in front of Hangar 10, 03aug07; note the opened emergency exit:

AMS03aug2007009.jpg

Finally, for the 3-holer lovers:

AMS03aug2007011.jpg

More to come next week ;)

Two "moonriders"...anyone know the airlines and aircraft types ?

Powerful take-off by this Mad-Dog in beautiful Star Alliance colours, right Keith ? :p

The stickered Transavia tail-colours are 'peeling-off' fast:

AMS17aug2007002.jpg

Taken today (17aug07) just prior to her push-out from the hangar and prior to a test-flight, after a thorough C-check, is this great looking (check her wheels) G-VLIP:

Guys,

You probably wondered why TF-ATX has not been at KUL for the past couple of days ?

After seeing her parked for 3 days in a row at KLM's maintenance area, I decided to take a look and this is what I found:

AMS19aug2007010.jpg

Engine-change !!!

AMS19aug2007009.jpg

As you can see, the grey RR was replaced by a blue RR :p

AMS19aug2007011.jpg

Guys are still busy installing the (ex TF-ARM ?) RR

AMS19aug2007012.jpg

Front view of the old RR windmilling in the Westerly wind breeze (no damage seen)

AMS19aug2007013.jpg

A grey cowling door is waiting to be placed on the blue cowling, so you guys have another photo opportunity :pardon:

AMS19aug2007014.jpg

PH-KCI is proudly presenting her butt

AMS19aug2007017.jpg

G-VLIP of last week was replaced by G-VROY for the C-check: the APU area looks quite battered !!! :o

but I appreciate to his son who is CEO of their holdings becouse he is an aviator. He has got pilot licence(I think CPL) and also supporting proffessional R/C model activities on behalf Turkey. Also he has so many awards in championship around the world.

A real nice visitor today at AMS:

AMS23aug2007003.jpg

Arrived from Kiev-Ukraine: I tell you, you can comb your hair in that shiny fuselage, even though 1973 vintage :good: :o

Always wondered how a Fokker 100 looks like without wheels (only showing off her struts :p ):

Didn't know that calibrator also like Emperor... bring ladder everywhere...

Maybe, Emperor needs this for 'refueling' too ? :pardon:

Not to be seen often outside her hangar, is this NLR Swearingen Metroliner; can any of our Malaysian member translate what's written on her fuselage ? :pardon:

AMS24aug2007003.jpg

Kargo Tango-Xray is all set for her departure; here's a close-up of her 'new' blue engine with some 'grey lining' and RR symbol (the 737 on the extreme right is Buraq Air operating for Afriqiyah):

AMS24aug2007005.jpg

Transavia leased-in this Air Finland 757 for the Summer season; here she's snapped at the Technical Area for some minor maintenance (by Stella Aviation Services; as written on the van):

AMS24aug2007007.jpg

Was unable to snap a picture of a Kenya 737-800 today at AMS, but this 767-300 will do for me as well :yahoo: Here, seen during maintenance in KLM's hangar 10 (sorry for the 'junk' in front of her :sorry: )...:
