Was able to come out of 'the caves' of the OCC yesterday, and look what I was able to shoot during my lunch-break:

I like to make some additions to the shots of Pieter of 8 May.

 

I've done some early morning spotting at AMS. From 5 AM to 10 AM, here some results! Among them a very very early rotation of OH-AFI!

 

 

And further seen an AF 321 who couldnt retract landing gear.

Sometimes, they keep their gear down in order to cool the brakes...not unusual at all !

IIRC, bro, the landing gear bay doors should still be closed if the gears are kept down to cool the brakes, however in the photo Cornelis posted, the bay doors are open...yet the gears haven't retracted, indicating a malfunction in the system.

Wow, Wong, really nice take-off video off DUB's runway 27 and landing on AMS' runway 18R (Polderbaan): sorry about the atrocious weather conditions

 

How long did it take from the touchdown to the parking at the gate ?

 

Anyhow, here's another contribution from the GA/Technical area:

 

During the weekend, the ATP's operating for FedEx are not operating and are 'stored' at the GA-platform:

 

VLM reduces their LCY frequency a lot during the weekend, so the Dutch Lady is showing-off her old VLM-dress:

 

This is a modified Falcon 20 (see the different engines and APU), and is called a Falcon 200 now:

 

Look at this 'little devil' called a Premier390:

 

Thereafter, it was off to the hangar to check on PH-JCT (dedicated to Gibby, a truly FokkerJet lover):

Hi Pieter, I enjoyed the airport very much although the weather was bad. Schiphol is definitely my best airport in Europe at all time. However, on the return trip, the queue at immigration was terrible. I queued for more than 30 minutes and nearly missed my flight. Can you imagine only one counter opened for EU and other passport each during peak time (1500-1600). Luckily, I didn't hear the annoucement saying: This is the final annoucement for Mr. XXX, please proceed to Gate XX or we will start to offload your luggage!

No more Fokker 70 hangar-shots, however, I was off today (after working last weekend) and decided to visit the LHS and do some spotting lateron despite the windy and showery weather. Hope you'll enjoy the shots nevertheless

 

The spotter's place along runway 24 is still there (for how long ?) and was able to shoot this powerful take-off of the norwegian SAS MD80:

 

Instead of using the regular Fokker 100, Britair used a CRJ700 today:

 

Tripple Seven take-offs always amaze me; here, trying to imitate Azahan:

 

Croatia was sporting this Star Alliance livery on their ZAG flight today:

 

Another Star Alliance partner just airborne from runway 24 for a flight to PHL:

Had been hoping to nail the Hibby today, and this is what appeared in front of my lens :

 

Only a few MD-90's are operating in Europe, and Blue1 is one of those; here a spectacular take-off of OH-BLC off to HEL:

 

Prinses Maxima is the only Martinair MD-11 speckeled with red roses:

 

Lithuanian is the only Saab-2000 operator at SPL; it reflects nicely the dark sky behind her and is on her way to PLQ:

 

No more Northworst Diesel 10's at Schiphol, but how about a graceful take-off like this ? :

 

During a few sunny spells, I was able to nail down (with 400mm) this QF 744 on her way to LHR:

 

An airline you'll never see at KUL is this daily LY flight:
