Seth K 3 Report post Posted April 27, 2006 Wah Uncle, got tomyam all that thing, sure you full??? Back to story, very cool, that SriLankan Air with 2 AK babies really show a bit KUL rush hour.........Malaysian rush hour is at lunchtime, guess it's bad for the controllers and joy for spotters
Norman 1 Report post Posted April 27, 2006 Yup.... CF card full but stomach empty... Regarding rush hour... at the most spotted 4 aircraft on hold and 2 approaching that's about it Sometimes you do have empty runways for a few minutes (that's when I hid under my umbrella and wave to policemen patrolling the perimeter... ) --

Imran K. 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2006 Hmmm... Spotting with ladders at the Weather Station doesn't sound too bad. Especially if you have a step ladder. Mana tahu...could even escape the lamp posts...

Norman 1 Report post Posted April 28, 2006 Ok.. for Pak Brahim... This one is not fully edited... except for re-sizing from 3008x2000 to 700x466 in CS2 to comply with house rule I shot using JPeg fine setting in camera Check the "senget" because I was panning the subject and didn't pay attention to horizon also check the unwanted fence and empty space infront and rear of aircraft and this is the edited version of the same picture a) Use NeatImage to remove noise Unsharp Mask to sharpen a little bit c) Rotate image to level horizon d) Crop to tighten the composition e) Curve Adjustment to correct any color cast, exposure, tonal range f) Smart Sharpen on the main subject g) Resize to requirement So which one do you prefer?? Chaity... waaa till 6pm kaa? Should be nice ... pix please Guys.... even without ladders... policemen stopped and scrutinised me for a while
Ibrahim 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2006 So which one do you prefer?? The Edited One laaa... Thank Norman... I thought an Image From DLSR Camera No need to be Edit.

Kevin Teh 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2006 norman, photo retouch class? nice one... learnt something... execellent shots! that CX best la... ^^
Norman 1 Report post Posted April 28, 2006 The Edited One laaa... Thank Norman... I thought an Image From DLSR Camera No need to be Edit. Now you know the "secret".. eh It's not the camera that you use.... it's the guy behind the camera that press the shutter button that will determine the picture. For info... images from high end dSLRs like 1DsMkII, D2X etc will require more post-processing as compared to lower end Reason: The photographer has more control on the image he wanted, rather than pre-process by the camera internal program. Why these cam expensive?... Reasons: The amount and quality of data captured so that the user can do more later Kevin... photo retouch class?.. hmmm... let me see what we can put in Gen Photography section Attan... thanks, Sir... Sneeze Lam 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2006 (edited) Hi Sneeze, Norman wanted to "Yam Seng" or cheers with you with XO Chaity, I really didn't noticed with such a big meaning behind. So, Uncle Norman, when the real XO be ready? Unsharp Mask to sharpen a little bit Uncle Norman, can you have a lesson for me about how to use the Unsharp Mask? Coz it is always a thershold to me. I always got jagged on my resized photos. Edited April 28, 2006 by Sneeze Lam

BC Ng 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2006 Sneeze, you could try sharpening at different sizes. If your normal size is 1024 pixels wide, you should not need a radius above .3 pixels, or a sharpness setting above 500%. You can also try 50%/0.4/0 until you see jaggies on the edges.
