Should be not more than 5 more days thanks Wee. On that note,MH should start a MRO facility here in AkL for Airbus airbus planes, then they can use their own facility and also hawaiain air A330 is also a frequent visitor to the hangar, china southern also utilises A330 and of course multiple A380s that are seen daily here 3 EK and 1 SQ could need some support as well. JuliusWong 0 Report post Posted October 13, 2015 Malaysia Airlines could have done an Airbus MRO centre in either SZB or KUL, servicing all Asia Pacific region. With many years of experience dealing with Airbus family of jets, relatively low cost compared to other countries in the region and skillful and multi-lingual engineers that MH has (or used to have), MH would have earn big bucks. Unfortunately the boat has sailed long ago. Airbus has set up partnership with SIA Engineering. Boeing as well with them. What a missed opportunity!
